| ‘Me and Earl and The Dying Girl’ Trailer: Sundance Award-Winner Is A Tearjerker
Aside from films like Dope and the near-empty attendance of Jupiter Ascending, Sundance attendees couldn’t stop raving about Me and Earl and The Dying Girl. The movie won top honors at the film festival earlier this year, and now it has its first trailer. The film, from director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story), is based on the Jesse Andrews novel of the same name, which centers around a film obsessed high school senior forced to interact with a classmate who has just been diagnosed with leukemia. | ‘Suicide Squad’: Joel Edgerton, Jon Bernthal, Joe Manganiello, More Rumored
With rumors of Jake Gyllenhaal replacing Tom Hardy as Rick Flag in Suicide Squad being put to rest, it was back to looking for who could fill the role as the founder of the deadly group for David Ayer‘s comic book adaptation. Joel Edgerton and Jon Bernthal are now the two names rumored to be attached to the role. In addition, there are conflicting reports as to who Gary Sinise could be playing in the film, one, while Joe Manganiello is said to be up for Deathstroke.

| International Trailer For Brad Pitt Tank Movie ‘Fury’ Released
Back in June we saw the first trailer for Fury, an upcoming World War II tank movie starring Brad Pitt. Now an international trailer has been released by Sony Pictures. The movie follows a group of American soldiers on a dangerous mission toward the end of the war. It’s written and directed by David Ayer (Harsh Times, End of Watch), and also stars Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman. | Rumor: Charlie Hunnam Top Pick For ‘Escape From New York’ Remake
Way back in 2011, New Line dropped plans for a remake of the cult classic, Escape From New York. Since then, producer Joel Silver has had his eye on the 1981 property directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken, but there hasn’t been much movement on it for a while. Now, Starlog is reporting that Silver and his Silver Pictures already has a shortlist of actors they want to star as Plissken, including Sons Of Anarchy‘s Charlie Hunnam, The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal, and The Guest‘s Dan Stevens, according to their unnamed inside sources.
