Michael J. Fox & Lea Thompson - Back To The Future ReunionYesterday, Spike TV released a promo video for the Spike TV Scream Awards of Michael J. Fox back in his Back To The Future Marty McFly get-up getting ready to ride the time-traveling DeLorean. In honor of the film’s 25th anniversary, Fox and the cast of BTTF will reunite during the awards ceremony. But that isn’t the only reunion in town.

EW recently got Fox back together with his BTTF co-star Lea Thompson for a photoshoot with the film’s iconic time-traveling vehicle.

Watch the video here below, which includes Fox and Thompson talking about filming with the DeLoreon, as well as Fox’s famous awkward physical comedy in the movie, especially the scenes of Fox back in time as Marty meeting his then-teenaged hormone-fueled mom (Thompson).

The photoshoot is part of EW’s first-ever Reunions issue, which brings together the casts of 12 movies and television shows, like Lord Of The Rings, Pretty in Pink, and Alias. The issue hits stands tomorrow, October 15, 2010.

Week of Geek; Back to the Future, 25th Anniversary

There are simply millions of hobbies you can spend your time on in the world like comics, movies, video games, oh yeah, and building your own Delorean Time Machine. That is right, I said it, you can build your own Delorean Time Machine. I remember a while back I was wondering what it would take to build your own Back To The Future Delorean and how much something like that would cost. Well one of the hardest parts is finding the actual vehicle itself. If you did happen to run across one and wanted to make yourself a replica, it is definitely possible.

Just in time for the 25th Anniversary of the first Back To The Future film, a great utility for those with this fun hobby is back online. BTTFParts.com has advice and videos on how to convert a normal Delorean into a Back To The Future time machine.

Enjoy the video of their conversion below.

Week of Geek; Back to the Future, 25th Anniversary

1985: eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett “˜Doc’ Brown (Christopher Lloyd) has turned his glorious DeLorean sports car into a time machine. After an attack by disgruntled Libyan terrorists, Doc is killed in a shower of machine gun fire. His young friend [no funny business] Marty (Michael J. Fox) escapes in the DeLorean and upon reaching 88 MPH is transported to the year 1955 — the year his parents met and Doc invented time travel. Can Marty convince the Doc of 30 years ago that he is really from the future and get him to help him to get back to the future? More than that, can he spurn the advances of his teenage mother? Hold on, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s go back in time.

When a movie begins with the words “˜Steven Spielberg Presents’ as far am I’m concerned it might as well be stamped with “˜you are gonna love this’, because far more often than not, it’s true. This month marks the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest movies of all time that begins with such a statement: Back to the Future. In the quarter of a century that has passed since its opening weekend on July 3, 1985, there are not many movie fans who haven’t seen Back To The Future. And I’m sure the number is even smaller of the people who do not like this movie.

Video: Watch ‘Howard The Duck’

A few weeks ago, one of our contributors talked to us about doing a piece on the 1986 LucasFilm bomb Howard The Duck. ‘Wow, Howard The Duck,’ I thought, ‘I haven’t seen that movie in years.’ and I think it’s been out of print for a long time. So, I looked it up and see that a new Special Edition is available now for pre-order with a release date of March 10, 2009 (yeah, that’s going right on the Wish List).

Next thing I know, it’s on Hulu [synchronicity!]. (Watch it here below.)

Now, I know the film was considered a bomb and an embarrassing blip in the LucasFilm Archives, but I remember enjoying it when it came out back in 1986. But, I was kid back then and at that time I devotedly followed anything with George Lucas‘ name on it, so I wondered how I’d feel about the movie now. So, on Christmas Eve night before I went to bed, I watched Howard The Duck, and you know what? I still liked it. Is it a good movie? Nope. But is it the worst movie? No way.
