| A Parody For Your Thoughts: The Many Faces Of ‘The Last Supper’ |

Recently we shared a couple of new images from ABC’s Lost that showed the cast replicating Leonardo da Vinci‘s famed “The Last Supper” painting. This along with shows like Battlestar Galactica (seen above) and House have made it quite apparent that this was a popular thing to do whilst promoting your show. As it turns out, this happens all the time, and Jeremy from Culture Popped was able to point us to a ton of them to check out. Among the many variations you will find many popular TV shows and movies and brand name characters. Titles like The Simpsons, Star Wars, M.A.S.H., South Park, and The Sopranos appear along with Walt Disney characters and brand characters from McDonalds and everything in between, all showing off their very own “Last Supper” renditions. Some are very well-done and worth seeing while others are basic and passable. Click on over to the other side to check out a few of our favorite “Last Supper” parodies, and be sure to head over to Culture Popped where you can see an insane amount of these images all in one convenient location.

| Do These ‘Lost’ Supper Images Hold The Answers We Desire? |

ABC has released a couple of interesting images for the start of the final season of Lost, which begins on February 2, 2010. The images use the popular promotional tactic of taking your show’s cast and recreating Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” painting (in this case it has to be called “The Lost Supper,” just because), which as you know, featured Jesus Christ in the center, surrounded by his apostles before he was crucified. In this case, we’re looking at two images that were released, and as with anything related to Lost, we are all wondering if anything that we are looking at is a hint to the mysteries we wish to know the answers to oh-so-badly. Both images show the cast sitting at a table and enjoying a nice Dharma Initiative dinner. John Locke is sitting right in the middle of it all, which interestingly dresses him as Jesus…or at least god-like. The rest of the crew is around him and in the first image (seen above — click to go large), they’re all staring right at Locke. In the image below, the only difference is that they’re all now looking at us, and Claire and have switched sides, with Hurley moving over one seat. You can check out the second image by heading over to the other side.

| Golden Globe Nominees Revealed; What Do You Think? |

The list of nominees for the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced earlier today, and you can check out the whole list below. The Globes aren’t the most respected of all awards ceremonies (not that many…if ANY are these days), but they are good for one important thing: Academy Awards potentials. Many of the nominees and winners of Golden Globes will go on to land Oscar nominations as well, so movie fans watch with sharp eyes. Just a glance over the list of nominees, you can see why so many people have trouble taking awards like this seriously. There’s a select group of movies that feel like they’re given these nods just because of their status and not due to their quality. These movies could in fact be the very best of the best this year — I do not know for sure — but when you see films like Nine which hasn’t even been released yet getting so many nominations, you scratch your head, especially knowing how much love musicals get JUST for being musicals. Or maybe even Avatar grabbing a massively unexpected nod in the Best Motion Picture Dramas category. Hopefully the majority of these are indeed the most deserving of the honor, and may the best films win. Head on over to the other side to see the entire rundown of Golden Globe nominees and please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!

| Sixth & Final Season Of ‘Lost’ Has An Official Launching Date |

ABC has officially announced that its ultimate milk and honey show, Lost, will begin its final season on February 2, 2010. The station will attempt to make an event out of the evening by airing one of their hour-long recap episodes right before the two-hour Lost premiere airs. The final season is set to air 18 episodes, with the premiere and likely two-hour finale counting as four of the total episodes. There have been talks of the show possibly taking a short break when the upcoming Winter Olympics take place, but that is still unknown for sure. The sixth season has the ultimate of challenges ahead of it. The show has consistently delivered some of the best writing and most compelling television in the history of the medium, but with so many questions left to answer, the task at hand is for them to remain as flawless as they’ve been while still answering most of the mysteries that remain. And with one of the mysteries being the random “sightings” of deceased characters, expect to see many familiar faces within the final run.
