It’s been a little over a month since Disney released Avengers: Infinity War – 48 days to be exact – and the film is still making box office waves.

After opening to recording breaking numbers, the sequel has crossed the $2 billion mark. And that gives Disney plenty of reasons to celebrate. More on the story below.

Looking ahead to Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you will see that Marvel Studios has a Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel scheduled for a July 2019 release. It is said that the follow-up film will be a more global adventure than its predecessor. And now we may have an idea of who Spidey may be fighting. According to various reports, Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio. Michael Keaton is also rumored to return, leading to the speculation that we may see the Sinister Six. A lot of us are still reeling after the ending of Avengers: Infinity War. With a massive superhero ensemble like this, we knew there would be some casualties, but I don’t think any of us were prepared for what Marvel gave us. Obviously, the upcoming sequel will have some of the heroes who didn’t appear in Infinity War make an appearance in Avengers 4, even a certain hero who could only be reached via retro technology. So as many of us are still coping, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are talking about how Avengers 4 will not reverse what was done in Infinity War.
