| ‘Transformers’ Shared Universe Adds ‘Ant-Man’ Scribes To The Staff
Last week it was confirmed that The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, Pacific Rim 2‘s Zak Penn, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Lost“˜s Jeff Pinkner would be writing the scripts for various Transformers spinoffs as a part of the shared universe that Paramount was creating. The writers are essentially working as a story trust with all working on respective scripts while also providing creative input on other ones. Now a new report says that Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari will be joining the staff. More on the story below.

| Robert Kirkman and Others To Write ‘Transformers’ Shared Universe Movies
Since Paramount announced that they would be building a shared universe for the Transformers franchise led by the brain trust of Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the studio has been actively looking for writers who could write for the upcoming sequels and spinoffs. Akiva Goldsman has been charged with mapping out the future of the franchise, and now Paramount and Hasbro has found the group of writers that will help Goldsman work out the scripts for these sequels and spinoffs. According to Deadline, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, Pacific Rim 2“˜s Zak Penn, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Lost“˜s Jeff Pinkner are the new team that will write the Transformers expanded universe. | Producer Says Found Footage ‘Friday The 13th’ Not Happening Anymore |

There’s been so many Friday the 13th movies the past few decades that it’s hard to try to figure out new things to do to keep things fresh and entertaining for new installments. It’s already been six years since 2009’s reboot of the franchise, believe it or not, and a sequel has been talked about since then. Over the years we’ve heard about numerous twists that could come into play for the next movie, ranging from small tweaks like setting the movie during the winter months to much bigger changes like maybe not using Jason Voorhees (the very idea!) or using the popular found footage style. But when all is said and done, these movies are made for the die-hard fans of the franchise who don’t want the formula changed too much. And according to producer Brad Fuller, who’s usually the one offering updates on the sequel, negative fan response has led to them dropping the found footage idea. See what he had to say below.
