| ‘Transformers 5’ Targets 2017 Release
Despite Transformers: Age of Extinction being one of the lowest grossing of all the live-action Transformer films, the franchise will be getting a fifth installment. Recent news of the franchise forming a story trust to expand for possible crossovers (though not one with G.I. Joe) would allow for endless – yet possibly mindless action-filled possibilities. We’re not really sure what to make of Transformers 5, due to the fact that development on the film has been inactive. Now we are getting word that Hasbro is eyeing Transformers 5 for a 2017 release.

| Paramount Planning For Marvel-Style Transformers Universe With Sequels, Spinoffs
Disney has Marvel and Star Wars, Warner Bros has DC and LEGO, and Sony has Ghostbusters and possibly Spider-Man. So it was only a matter of time before Paramount gets into the game by building a cinematic universe around their franchises, and they will start off with one of their more lucrative franchises: Transformers. The studio will hire Akiva Goldsman to help map out the new Transformers universe, and Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura will act as executive producers/brain trust. More on this after the jump.

RELEASE DATE: January 6, 2015 I’m terrible at watching TV shows. Just awful. New ones often come around that I really want to check out, and before I know it multiple seasons have come and gone. Seriously—it feels like time travel at times. Being a huge fan of pirates (I even enjoy the Pirates of the Caribbean movies most people aren’t so fond of), Black Sails on Starz was one such show that immediately piqued my attention but got away from me. This is thanks in part to its fairly brief maiden voyage (season one is only eight episodes). But thankfully I was able to check it out on Blu-ray, and with season two having just kicked off recently, I’m happy to finally be on board.

Say what you want about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the film grossed $477 million worldwide and currently holds the number 12 spot on the top grossing films of 2014. Of course with numbers like that, you knew Paramount was going to follow that up with a sequel. While it was first thought that Jonathan Liebesman, who directed the last film, would return to direct Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, it’s being reported that the studio is now in talks with Earth To Echo helmer David Green to direct the sequel. More after the jump.

| ‘Ninja Turtles’ Reboot: See What Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady Might Have Looked Like (Images)
When it comes to Ninja Turtles movies Shredder is almost always the villain, despite there being plenty of other options to choose from such as Krang, Baxter Stockman, and Rat King. There’s also good henchman options aside from just using members of the Foot, such as Bebop and Rocksteady. This was no different with the latest take on the characters, the Jonathan Liebesman-directed and Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that was released this past August, where William Fichtner played the infamous villain. But some new concept art has found its way online and shows what Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady might have looked like had they been used in the final movie. There’s also concept art for different versions of the turtles and Shredder than the not-so-popular designs used in the movie. You can see the artwork below.
