| ‘Oldboy’ Actress Joins ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’; Matthew McConaughey Turns Down Villain Role
With sequels comes new additions. It just comes with the territory. While the Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel are locked in to reprise their “a-hole” roles, with Karen Gillan back as nefarious daughter of the Mad Titan otherwise known as Thanos, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is starting to cast new faces for the upcoming space opera sequel. A new report says that Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) has signed off to appear in the film, while Matthew McConaughey has turned down the chance to appear in the sequel, leaving director James Gunn to look elsewhere. More on the story below.

| Chris Pratt Talks ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’; Says He Cried Reading First Draft
Well we know that Star Lord won’t be visiting earth any time soon, so don’t expect him to settle Captain America: Civil War with any one of the “Awesome Mix” tapes his mom gave him. That being said, Chris Pratt does know what songs are on the “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” tape, but isn’t exactly forthcoming on what songs of the ’70s are on it. He also has read a first draft of the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 script which apparently made him cry. Sounds like your average PR spiel, but since the first Guardians of the Galaxy was such a wild success, we should probably believe him. More on these stories below.

| Lee Pace’s Ronan Won’t Be In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’
Lee Pace will not appear in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, according to director James Gunn, who revealed the news last Thursday during a Facebook Q&A session. Pace played the villainous Ronan the Accuser in last summer’s blockbuster hit Guardians Of The Galaxy, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and was famously challenged in the film to a dance-off by Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. During the lengthy Q&A, Gunn was asked if Ronan would return, to which he replied, “Who knows. But not in 2, no.”

Release Date: November 18, 2014 Directed by George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Creepshow), 1993’s The Dark Half is based on Stephen King‘s novel of the same name. In order to talk about Romero’s adaptation of The Dark Half, first we must discuss a little history. In the late ’70s and early ’80s, King published a handful of short novels – Rage (1977), The Long Walk (1979), Roadwork (1981), The Running Man (1982), and Thinner (1984) “” under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. Shortly after the release of Thinner, Bachman was exposed as King’s pseudonym by a Washington D.C. bookstore clerk who noticed similarities between the two authors. The clerk, Steve Brown, wrote to King with the evidence he’d gathered, and King called him days later to come clean in an exclusive interview. The interview was published in The Washington Post, and King announced Bachman’s death – from “cancer of the pseudonym.”

| Peter Quill’s Father In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’ Won’t Be The Same As In The Comics
Guardians of the Galaxy ended with a slight cliffhanger. Who is Peter Quill’s father? Just a few minutes before the film ended, Kraglin (Sean Gunn), said it was probably best that the Ravagers and Yondu (Michael Rooker) didn’t deliver Peter Quill to his dad as they were hired to do. We only got a few clues from the film that could tell us who he could possibly be. He was an Angel of Light and that he was not of Earth – Quill is half terran (his mother) while the other half is something ancient (his father). Now it’s very unlikely that we will get more clues in the DVD or Blu-ray, but director James Gunn has confirmed that Star-Lord’s father isn’t who you think it is, and that he will be revealed in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Hit the jump to see who it could possibly be; slight spoilers will follow.
