| ‘Gotham’ Season 2 Casts James Frain!
Looks like another set of villains are coming to Gotham for Season 2! With Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) probably dead, and The Ogre (Milo Ventimiglia) and Maroni (David Zayas) definitely dead, there are a couple of evil vacancies. And you know Gotham. It would not be the show and city that it is without multitudes of bad guys (and girls) running around. And who will these new villains be?

Air Date: Monday, May 4th, 2015, 8pm It’s the end of an awesome inaugural season for Gotham! This Batman prequel centers around Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and how he tries to clean up corrupt Gotham city with partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), before the masked superhero grows up. We watched (and so did Selina Kyle – newcomer Camren Bicondova) the parents of Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) get murdered, starting his obsession with finding their killers and the corruption within Wayne Enterprises. We met the mob players of the town. There’s Don Falcone (John Doman) with his underling Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), and her soon-to-be betrayer underling Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). There is also Don Maroni (David Zayas), a loudmouth who is trying to take over as well. We watched Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) go from amiable lab geek to a full on psycho, cementing his inevitable Riddler persona. Many other characters from the DC universe have also visited Gotham this season like the Joker, Poison Ivy, The Dollmaker, and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk).

Air Date: Monday, April 27th, 2015, 8pm Last week’s Gotham thrilled and chilled us. Here’s a recap of “Under The Knife” before this week’s review. Beware! There are a few spoilers after the recap. The quirky little Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) we know and love is gone. He got a taste for blood when he butchered Ms. Kringle’s handsy boyfriend. I did not even recognize him, and not because his hair was different and he had no glasses on. He was a maniac killer, enjoying it. Jim (Ben McKenzie) will not back off even though The Ogre called him and warned him. Why should he worry? He made sure Lee (Morena Baccharin) was safe. Barbara (Erin Richards) is not though.

Air Date: Monday, April 20th, 2015, 8pm It’s almost the end for our inaugural season of Gotham! We have a little recap of last week’s episode, a review of this week’s, and lots of clips below for you to enjoy! Selina (Camren Bicondova) made her first kill last week (check out that video below), pushing Reggie out of the window after he said he was gonna tell. She will be forever different now and is one step closer to being Catwoman. A cop asked Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to look into a case for him, setting him up to start looking for The Ogre (Milo Ventimiglia). Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) warns him to drop it, explaining that The Ogre goes after the loved ones of anyone investigating him. Even though it was a setup, Jim can’t walk away. More women will die.

Air Date: Monday, April 13th, 2015, 8pm It’s finally back! Before we get to this week’s review, let’s recap how we got here on Gotham. It has been a banner first season for Bruno Heller‘s hit Gotham. This Batman prequel series has brought us a myriad of characters from the DC universe as well as a major one invented just for the show. Focusing on how everyman Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) shakes up the GCPD and tries to clean up the city, we have seen how everyone and everything is not black and white, but many shades of gray, including the setting. He and his reluctant partner, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) use regular and unorthodox methods to try to bring down the bad guys, including the ones with badges. From Penguin to Riddler to Catwoman to The Joker (Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, Camren Bicondova, Cameron Monoghan), from Poison Ivy to The Ogre to The Dollmaker To Two-Face (Clare Foley, Milo Ventimiglia, Colm Feore, Nicholas D’Agosto), we have been delightfully inundated with future Batman villains. We even got a brand new villain this season in Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), a powerfully vicious, yet loyal woman who will pluck out her own eye and stomp on it, rather than be controlled. And of course we have young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), whose parents were murdered to kick off the season, leaving him in the care of his more-than-meets-the-eye butler, Alfred (Sean Pertwee).
