| ‘Neverwinter: Strongholds’ Interview With Cryptic Studios’ Randy MosiondzI recently was afforded the opportunity to ask a few questions of the folks at Cryptic Studios who are behind the Neverwinter: Strongholds expansion set. But I didn’t get just anyone, I got my answers from Randy “Arkayne” Mosiondz, Senior Content Designer and Loremaster on Neverwinter! Not too shabby, if you ask me. In case you are unaware, Neverwinter: Strongholds is the seventh expansion for the Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms MMORPG published by Perfect World Entertainment. It was released on August 11, 2015 and is all about group participation. Rather than me explaining it, let’s get right down to brass tacks and take a look at the interview, shall we? There’s also a gallery of screenshots below the interview, so peruse those when you’re done!

| ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Brings ‘Elemental Evil’ Back!
That’s right, you read that correctly. One of my favorite Dungeons & Dragons adventure modules of all time is back in action. If you have never had the joy (and horror) of playing The Temple of Elemental Evil then I pity you; it was an awesome adventure that I spent many an afternoon and evening exploring. This newest incarnation titled Elemental Evil is sure to impress just as much as its ancestor did thirty years ago. Dear lord, has it really been thirty years? Geez, I’m old! I’m sure as we have all come to expect from Wizards of the Coast, it’s going to be an epic event in 2015. Read on for more details!

| Interview: Author R.A. Salvatore On His New Book ‘Charon’s Claw: Neverwinter Saga, Book III’ |
|
With the arrival today of the third book in the Neverwinter Saga, Charon’s Claw, I got the chance to have the ever-popular author R.A. Salvatore answer a few questions. As you may know, he is one of my favorite authors and I never miss a chance to pick his brain regarding his novels and other works. I hope you find his responses as interesting as I did. Note the spoiler near the end, however. Geeks Of Doom: For long-time readers, how would you describe the shift in the way Drizzt acts in this series versus the way he was with the old Companions of the Hall? I felt it was a subtle movement maybe towards the average Drow persona of indifference (at times) and less of the do-gooder attitude we have all grown to know. R.A. Salvatore: Drizzt is surrounded by cynicism, and maybe it’s wearing off on him. Worse, given the losses he’s suffered and the grief he’s experiencing… well, couple all of that with a world that’s grown darker and angrier and you have a formerly optimistic Drow who’s wondering if his morale code is no more than a sick joke. He adhered to what was right and just, despite great personal sacrifice, and for what? That’s the question he can’t shake.
