| Mark Strong To Play The Villain In Shazam Movie
Things are progressing rather quickly for Shazam! Just days after the film confirmed Zachary Levi to play the title hero, there are reports that Mark Strong is in talks to play the film’s villain. Of course, as some of you know, it’s not going to be Black Adam, as Dwayne Johnson will be playing him in a standalone film. | Black Adam Movie: ‘Due Date’ Writer Hired To Pen Script
Black Adam is literally not going to be like any of the DC films we have seen before. As a character, he serves as the main antagonist for Shazam aka Billy Batson, the young boy who assumes the identity of the superpowered being when shouting “Shazam,” who will have his own film. So it was interesting to hear that Black Adam would be getting his own film. Of course, when it was announced that Dwayne Johnson would be playing the title character, it made plenty of sense. While the project has been in development for quite some time, it just took a major step forward. New reports confirm that Due Date writer and Undateable creator Adam Sztykiel will pen the script. More on the story below.

| ‘IT: Chapter Two’: Writer Gary Dauberman To Bring New Horrors To Stephen King’s It Sequel
Having only seen bits and pieces of the original IT TV miniseries, I didn’t know what to expect from the new Stephen King’s IT from director Andy Muschietti. But after catching a screening of new film, I can understand why everyone is so afraid of clowns. That being said, there are a few flaws, but overall, I had a terrifyingly good time. The reaction has been so good that Warner Bros. feels confident enough to move forward with a sequel.

| ‘It’ Trailer: This Cursed Town Has Got A Serious Clown Problem
Clowns are pretty much at the top of the list of things to be afraid of. Which is why coulrophobia — the fear of clowns — has been popularized in pop culture. And we owe a great deal of thanks to Pennywise from Stephen King‘s novel It for manifesting those fears of clowns. A brand new adaptation of It, from Mama director Andy Muschietti, is just a few more months away, and now WB has released a new trailer that brings back all those fears we thought we suppressed. Check it out here below.

| New Line Hires Writer For ‘The Conjuring 3’
Now that the franchise as a whole is going by the name The Conjuring Universe, we knew it was only a matter of time before The Conjuring 3 would be on the way. The first two movies making over $638 million worldwide combined probably helps as well. It’s being reported that New Line Cinema has hired The Conjuring 2 writer David Leslie Johnson to work on the script for the trilogy-maker. James Wan, who directed the first two movies and was also a writer and producer on the second installment, is expected to be involved in the project, though the report says he’ll likely produce this time with a new director brought in.
