A trailer has been released for an upcoming movie from New Line titled Into the Storm.

The movie is made using your basic disaster flick recipe, with mother nature wreaking some devastating havoc. In this case it’s a collection of vicious tornadoes ruining everyone’s day, kinda like Sharknado…without all the sharks.

Back in March it was reported that Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia, a writing duo that had worked on the cult classic TV series Jericho, had been brought in to pen a new movie adaptation of the brilliant graphic novel, Y: The Last Man.

Now comes word that New Line Cinema is very much fond of the draft that Federman and Scaia turned in, and they’re putting Y: The Last Man at the top of their list of priority projects. New Line is also now set to start meeting possible directors for the movie.

Apparently no franchise is too good to die.

Deadline is reporting, and subsequently confirming rumors, that there is indeed a fourth feature being worked on in the Friday franchise. The news first broke when actor Tiny Lister revealed that he’s beginning to chat with Ice Cube to get moving on a fourth film in the franchise, which Cube is currently in talks with New Line to write, produce, and star in, with the possibility of also directing.

Not a whole lot in terms of news here, but New Line/Platinum Dunes have put out a brand new full-length trailer and a sweet new poster for the upcoming horror remake of Friday the 13th.

The movie is directed by Marcus Nispel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and stars Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, and Derek Mears. It’s being released on Friday, February 13, 2009.

The trailer pretty much confirms what we’ve all wanted all along — yes, this movie will have a whole new, clean and modernized look, but this is by all means the Jason Voorhees we all know and love. The only detail that’s yet to be seen and clarified is that long, blond hair we saw on some leaked pictures a while ago, but so far, all looks pretty perfect. You even catch a glimpse at Jason in his burlap sack!
