An official trailer has been released for Onward, the latest feature from Pixar Animation Studios. The movie comes from the team behind Monsters University, writer and director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae, and stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as two elf brothers who set off on an adventure in hopes of finding out if magic still exists in the world. | Release Dates For ‘Toy Story 4’ Digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD Revealed
Release dates for the home video released of Toy Story 4 have been announced by Disney. The latest entry in the long-running animated franchise makes its way to digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD this fall. | D23 Expo 2019: Pixar’s ‘Soul’ Will Have Music From Jon Batiste, Score By Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross
My recent trip to Pixar was not only exciting, it was also inspirational. The studio keeps coming up with innovative ways to tell these stories in bold new ways. One of those films will be Soul, from director and new Chief Creative Officer at Pixar Animation Studios Pete Docter. Docter was on hand to present a little bit about the film to a full house on Saturday at the D23 Expo. And based on what he was able to share, this will be one of Pixar’s most cerebral films to date. I was initially skeptical about how Disney-Pixar’s Onward could work. The film centered on two brothers who go on a journey to find out if magic still exists. | Release Date Set For Pixar’s ‘Soul’ From ‘Up,’ and ‘Inside Out’ Director Pete Docter
Pixar’s Onward isn’t the only film that they are releasing in 2020. The animation studio also had something locked in for June of 2020, and today is the first time that we are hearing of the official title. It’s been revealed that Pixar’s second 2020 release will be titled Soul, and it comes from the two-time Academy Award winning director of Up and Inside Out, Pete Docter. Additionally, the film is said to take place “from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms.” More on the report below.
