As we reach the midway point of the final season of A&E’s Bates Motel, Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) is struggling to deal with the walls closing in around him. Mother (Vera Farmiga) refuses to let him make his own decisions, and after telling off Chick (Ryan Hurst), he ends up begging for his friendship. This after Chick gave Caleb (Kenny Johnson) a viking funeral! There’s a new sheriff in town who is starting to poke around, and brings warnings for Norman as Romero (Nestor Carbonell) has escaped custody. Then there is the trickiest of all situations, as Norman gets closer to local store owner Madeleine Loomis (Isabelle McNally), but alas Mother inevitably will ruin that. This week Nestor Carbonell steps back behind the camera, as we inch closer to Hitchcock and welcome a very special guest to the Motel. Spoilers below for this week’s Bates Motel:

| ‘Valerian and The City Of A Thousand Planets’ Trailer: Luc Besson’s Stunning Sci-Fier Looks Epic
Summer movie season is of course filled with blockbuster tentpoles, but there are a few other films to look forward to, especially if you are looking for an escape. But if you don’t want to see those superhero films, then Luc Besson‘s (Léon: The Professional, The Fifth Element) Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets might be just your thing. Based on the french comic written by Pierre Christin and illustrated by Jean-Claude Mézières, the film stars Dane DeHaan as Valerian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline, as they travel through the outskirts of space for an adventure unlike any other. A teaser trailer for the movie has been released, and can be seen below.

| ‘Ocean’s Eight’: Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, More Join Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett
The cast of Warner Bros.’ Ocean’s Eleven spinoff Ocean’s Eight is now starting to come together. Sandra Bullock has been on board the project since it was first announced back in October, with Cate Blanchett joining soon after. Now Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and Nora “Awkwafina” Lum are reportedly set to join the cast.
