With a movie coming out next year, 2013 was already primed to be a big year for Superman, but the year just got better for the big blue boyscout thanks to a new series from DC that’s teaming up two of their best creators. Writer Scott Snyder, already riding high on a fantastic run on Batman, will join forces with artist superstar Jim Lee to create a new as yet unnamed Superman series.

Lee is coming off a successful run on Justice League and is no stranger to Supes, having worked on the character before with Brian Azzarello on the “For Tomorrow” storyline.

It’s a big week of comics as Marvel NOW! kicks off and a the Joker returns to torture Batman, among many other things which I’m sure are also happening in any number of books. There are a ton of books to get this week, including one very special book. So find a paper clip, some chewing gum, and a couple of rubber bands, and make some kind of space ship to take you to your nearest comic retailer, because it’s time for the GoD List!

My goodness there are a ton of great issues out this week. On the other hand, the trade lineup is pretty bare, so we will be focusing on the single issues this week. Short and sweet is how I’m rolling this time around. Let’s see what we have in The GoD List.

Okay, I don’t have time to write much this week, but I’ll give you a rundown on a few comics that you should check out today. No time today for trades or love, Dr. Jones.
