| NYCC 2016: Sit In The Captain’s Chair Of ‘Star Trek Beyond’
New York Comic-Con is at the Javits Center this weekend, and although chock full of panels, autographs, photo ops, and tons of merchandise to take all your money away, there are also a ton of fun things to do. Star Trek fans need to stop by the Captain’s chair and command his/her crew, or kick Chris Pine to the curb and have your face grace the cover of the Star Trek Beyond Blu-ray, which is being released on November 1, 2016. | Best Movies Of 2016 … So Far – Baadasssss’ PicksThe Summer of 2016 is over and the Fall movie season is upon us. As the studios and indies prepare to unleash the prestige pictures and family friendly blockbusters they have been holding on for this moment, I’m taking a look back at the ten best films I’ve seen so far this year. Release Date: July 22, 2016 It’s been three years since we last left Captain James Tiberius Kirk and his young, hip, sexy rebooted USS Enterprise crew sifting through the charred rubble of the embarrassingly-flawed and intelligence-insulting Star Trek Into Darkness. When the first J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek feature was released in 2009, it thrilled me as both a lover of well-executed blockbuster entertainment and someone who has grown up enjoying the adventures of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and company because its creative and commercial success ensured that future generations would have their own Enterprise to follow into the cinematic cosmos. Into Darkness pretty much undid every detectable trace of that progress in the span of a mere two hours. The thought of the sequels that would inevitably follow filled me with the sort of trepidation one often experiences as they prepare to enter an old house that has been abandoned since the previous owners were horribly murdered twenty years ago….

| Interview: Cast and Crew Of ‘Star Trek Beyond’
Star Trek Beyond opens this weekend. Recently the cast and creative team of the film sat down to talk to press about the latest installment of the series. In the new Star Trek film we see the crew of the Starship Enterprise being challenged in a way they have never been challenged before — in the Kelvin timeline, that is. Separated from one another on a dangerous planet after their ship is destroyed, they deepen their bonds to get back to one another and stop the evil forces that threaten the Federation. Participating in the press day were cast members Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Chris Pine, John Cho, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg.
