| Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg Collaborating On Secret Project
As far as filmmaking collaborations go, it doesn’t get any better than Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg. That came true in 2011 when The Adventures of Tintin was released. While the film adaptation of the Herge comic of the same name may have been a hit with some of us, it didn’t perform in the U.S. as expected. However, internationally, it was a box office hit. A sequel would have Spielberg switching places with Jackson as director and producer. And yet, this report isn’t really about the two coming together for The Adventures of Tintin 2. Nope. During an interview, Spielberg revealed that he was working with Jackson again on a new secret project before heading off to work on a Tintin sequel. More on the story below.

Release Date: July 1, 2016 Roald Dahl created some of the most beloved children’s stories of the 20th century, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Like Walt Disney, Dahl had a knack for fusing the fantastic with the frightening, blending sweetness with sadness in a way that resonated with old and young alike. Dahl’s The BFG was first published in 1982, the same year Steven Spielberg‘s own seminal tale of friendship, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences around the world. It’s funny how things work out. Three decades later, Spielberg and his E.T. collaborator, the late screenwriter Melissa Mathison, have adapted the Dahl’s timeless adventure for the big screen.

| ‘The BFG’ Trailer: Steven Spielberg Explores A Whimsy World Of Giants
As Disney’s newly released trailer for The BFG says, “Hold your breath, cross your fingers, and here we go,” because adventure awaits. Steven Spielberg‘s most recent directorial effort is an adaptation of the Ronald Dahl novel of the same name that centers on a young girl (newcomer Ruby Barnhill) who finds herself in the world of giants and befriends one of the smallest of the group (Academy Award-winner Mark Rylance). The trailer for the film provides a little more story than the first. It also expands on the world of the giants and shows us the visually stunning creation that Spielberg will show us this summer.
