| Check Out These Hilarious Homemade Spoof Trailers For 2015’s Biggest Movies |
 |

Regardless of how movie marketing campaigns evolve to keep up with the changing times, trailers will always be one of the most crucial tools in the selling of a new film. A typical trailer for a major studio’s potential blockbuster and franchise hopeful tends to look the same as another of its type, from the editing beats to the choice of overdramatic music cues (not to mention that annoying and loud horn sound that can be traced back to Inception‘s brilliantly executed previews). Naturally this opens the door for aspiring filmmakers and people with both a strong sense and access to pretty decent cameras and recording equipment to create their own improvised spoofs of those occasionally overbearing trailers. Putting their friends and relatives in front of the camera and using whatever materials available to them to recreate the multi-million dollar visual effects, the makers of these “sweded” trailers often end up with something far more entertaining than their inspirations. I have taken it upon myself to scour YouTube for the funniest, most bizarre, and flat-out fun spoof trailers for the biggest blockbusters (and in one special case, a gigantic bomb), and as a special bonus I’ve included a few for some of 2016’s most anticipated movies. Enjoy, and have a happy new year!

| Rumor: Will Smith May Reprise Deadshot Role In Ben Affleck’s Batman
The DCCU is just starting to grow, and will start expanding even further with two films next year: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The latter will also have Batman appear for a sizable role. Also appearing in that film is Will Smith in a supporting role – of all things – as DC’s top assassin, Deadshot. The character has been known to never miss, and has often crossed paths with other DC characters. Though it is not clear how much screentime Smith will get in Suicide Squad, sharing it with an ensemble of villains, it’s likely that he won’t be the star of the film. So now it is starting to look like Smith may be more involved in the DCU beyond his role in Suicide Squad. According to a new rumor, there is a good chance that Smith may reprise his role as Deadshot in the upcoming Batman film starring Ben Affleck. More on the story below.

| New ‘Suicide Squad’ Images Are Just Crazy Fun
It’s still way too early to see any promotions of any significance from Suicide Squad. The last thing we saw from the film was the trailer that was released just after Comic-Con. But recently a new set of images and magazine covers have given us a better look at the film, which is due out for an August 2016 release. Just a few days ago, a full image of the new street-wise Joker (Jared Leto) was released. Now some high-resolution images from the film have finally hit the web. Check them all out here below.

| Joker Deemed A Psycho Killer In New ‘Suicide Squad’ Images
It wouldn’t be a Batman film without The Joker making some sort of appearance, though David Ayer’s Suicide Squad might be the exception to that rule. The film, which focuses on dangerous felons recruited by the government to perform dangerous missions in exchange for shorter prison terms, will see the debut of Academy Award-winner Jared Leto playing the Clown Prince Of Crime. Many have been anticipating what the actor would bring to such an iconic villain, and as the first few images and first trailer has shown us, it has had a polarizing effect. But much of what we have seen has only been the Joker’s face, and not too much of anything else. Until now. New images have appeared showing us a wildly different Joker. Check out the new images here below.

| ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer: “You Know What They Say About The Crazy Ones”
It’s only been two days since Warner Bros. rocked Hall H with the announcement of The Green Lantern Corps, and footage from Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Oftentimes, the footage doesn’t get released until a few months after the Con, but Warner Bros. was generous enough to release the full trailer for Batman v Superman just minutes after their panel ended. For reasons unknown, Suicide Squad didn’t get the same treatment, leading us to believe that it would be exclusive to the Con. But in a surprising move, the studio has released the first trailer for the villainous ensemble film which features the likes of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, El Diablo, Katana, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Killer Croc, and the Joker joining the titular black-ops group to perform missions no other team could ever do. Check out the trailer below.
