| Nintendo To Release Mini NES Console With 30 Games This Year
Before they unveil their mysterious new console, code-named NX, Nintendo has announced something much more familiar. The gaming giant has revealed that they will be releasing a mini version of the classic original Nintendo Entertainment System later this year. On top of that, the NES Classic Edition will also come with 30 classic games, so you can dive head first into nostalgia like Scrooge McDuck into a pool of gold coins. | Couple Uses First Level Of ‘Super Mario Bros.’ To Announce Pregnancy (Video)
You’re not going to find many pregnancy announcement videos here at Geeks of Doom, we promise (unless of course it’s for April Fools’ Day), but this was too good not to share. Most…”news”…outlets report on a pregnancy when it involves some Hollywood it couple or royalty, which is boring and unnecessary. This non-Hollywood couple decided to make their announcement in a much more entertaining way, that will no doubt make any geek smile. The couple used the familiar first level of the classic Nintendo video game Super Mario Bros. to make the announcement, tweaking it a bit to fit their current life story and capping it off with the big news (spoiler alert?). | ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Easter Egg Found In ‘Dying Light’ (Video)
A fun Super Mario Bros. Easter Egg has been discovered in the newly released Dying Light, a video game that combines zombie survival with urban freerunning. The surprise sees the player being transported to a first-person version of a Mario level, where exploding zombies appear to be a much larger threat than fungus with eyes and turtles.
