Warner Bros. revealed a special trailer for the Zack Snyder-directed superhero team-up film Justice League today in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.

We’ve all been waiting for this one! To prep for the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters months ago the gang at Screen Junkies did Honest Trailers for Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman and Superman directed by Richard Donner in 1978. Now the waiting is finally over as today, to celebrate the release of the Batman v Superman extended cut on Blu-ray, we finally get the BvS Honest Trailer. I wonder if fan response will be as divided as it was for the actual movie… nah, that’s literally impossible.

Superhero films can be a dime a dozen, especially since a lot of them come out every other if not every month of the year. So it would be hard for one to make an everlasting impression on anyone, let alone someone like Steven Spielberg.

Now, the legendary filmmaker, who is at the Cannes Film Festival to help promote is upcoming film, The BFG – check out the new trailer here – is talking about which superhero films are his favorite. Krypton is coming to television! The SyFy Channel announced today that production is a go for the prequel pilot about Superman’s home planet. Set two generations before the planet was destroyed sending a young Kal-El to Earth, this will be the story of his grandfather, who fought to save his family’s honor and Krypton, itself.

The views have been counted and the winner of the Batman v Superman Honest Trailers-off is… Superman… really? That means the gang at Screen Junkies were forced, by us, to give the HT treatment to Bryan Singer’s 2006’s homage/sequel/remake/reboot… “hobootquel” of Richard Donner’s 1978 classic, Superman Returns. This marks the 4th time the Screen Junkies team have dabbled in the Superman franchise, with Donner’s Quest for Peace and Man of Steel already having one.
