| Hugo Weaving Not Interested In Returning As The Red Skull In Future Marvel Movies
Very few of the Marvel Cinematic Universe villains have lived long enough to see a sequel. But one fate that is the most mysterious so far is the fate of the Red Skull. While Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki continues to live on to be a threat to Thor and The Avengers, Hugo Weaving doesn’t seem to be too excited to reprise his role as the Red Skull, a character he captured effortlessly in Joe Johnston’s Captain America: The First Avenger. While the actor did admit that he wasn’t keen on coming back as the Red Skull, he also said that he would reprise the role only because he is contractually obligated to do so. Here is the full quote from Collider.

| Emily Blunt & Ruth Wilson Courted For Ms. Marvel In ‘The Avengers 2?’
If there is one thing we shouldn’t be hearing about now, it’s the casting of vital roles in The Avengers 2. For one thing, it still way too early for anything like that to happen. But the Daily Mail, a source notoriously for concocting unsubstantiated rumors, reports that Marvel is courting Emily Blunt (Looper, The Wolfman, The Adjustment Bureau) and Ruth Wilson (Alice Morgan on BBC TV’s Luther). for the coveted role of Ms. Marvel – a character that is unconfirmed for the sequel. It wouldn’t surprise me – or anyone else for that matter – that Joss Whedon would include a strong female character like Ms. Marvel in The Avengers 2, but until we get some hard evidence from let’s say, the people making The Avengers 2, we will just have to consider that this casting possibility is just a rumor.

| New Character Descriptions For Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Series
The success of The Avengers opened the door for bold new possibilities for the Marvel franchise. Phase 2 is already getting underway with Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World shooting, and Joss Whedon signed an exclusive contract that allows him to creatively consult for the studio until 2015. Now a lot can happen in two full years. But perhaps one of the biggest things, aside from directing The Avengers 2, is the fact that he will be a producer of the new S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show that will air on ABC sometime in the very near future. Up until now, we only knew that he would be directing the pilot, but now a new character description sheet has been revealed. This sheet details the agents you will be seeing on the show. Check it out here below.
