| ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Screened Early For Dying Fan
Recently a hashtag campaign was started called #ForceForDaniel in an attempt to get the attention of Disney, Lucasfilm, and director J.J. Abrams in hopes of getting a special early screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens for Daniel Fleetwood, a 32-year-old Star Wars fan who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and given only two months to live back in July. When he started feeling like he wasn’t going to make it to the movie’s December release, the hashtag was created to ask for help. It caught on and got to the right eyes, with stars of the movie like Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega sharing the hashtag on their own social media accounts before it finally got to the “powers that be,” as Hamill put it.

| How Long Can You Watch This Video Of Fox News Talking About ‘Star Wars’?
I know, I know—that title is a bit clickbaity. But it is an honest question. A few weeks back, Fox News did a segment about Star Wars and the long-awaited next chapter of the franchise, The Force Awakens. But instead of talk about the movie itself or how excited they might be like everyone else, they decided to take some shots at it, the franchise, and its fans because…well, because they’re Fox News and they just love attention, positive or negative. They can troll with the best of them. It’s a painful video to watch, reminiscent of the popular kids in high school who ruled over all and looked down from their thrones at the peasant geeks. So of course I couldn’t help but wonder, how long can you watch it before clicking that x? You can give it a go below. No one would blame you for punching out early.

| Rumor: ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer Attached To ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
It’s been a few months since we saw the footage of Captain America: Civil War at the D23 Expo. At the time there was only about a week’s worth of shooting left before the sequel was completed. Much of what we saw looked pretty polished, and could have been condensed and cut for a trailer. But nothing has been released since then. One might suspect that they would attach the first trailer to a tentpole film, which would make sense since September and October aren’t known for blockbuster films. While there have been rumors that the Civil War trailer would be attached to Spectre, which is in U.K. theaters now but drops in North America next week, there is another one that says it will be attached to none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Because, you know, both Marvel and Lucasfilm are owned by Disney. More on this story below.

| Star Wars Day: ‘Star Wars’ The Next Generation?
Trust me when I tell you I was stupid crazy over Star Wars as a kid. I spent every available cent I could on the toys back in the seventies. I collected, I traded, I begged for more. But as with all things in our childhood, the things that were so very important to us back then, can become less so as we grow up. Wait a second, who am I lying to here? I am still just as big of a fan and I would still play with the action figures on the playground if it wasn’t completely creepy for a middle-aged man to be doing so. I wrote an article last year about how profoundly Star Wars affected me as a child, you can read it here. However, what I’d like to talk to you about today is the new Star Wars movie as it affects my youngest.
