Murphy, David Allen… and ladies and gentlemen, he has numerous concerns spread across this state and many wells flowing at many thousand barrels per day – he likes to think of himself as an oilman… producer Tim Grant.

Today on the Show: We’ll discuss Harmony Korine‘s latest film, Spring Breakers, and boot-up the Geek-O-Matic TeleFax for all the latest news on James Mangold‘s The Wolverine, and Jonathan Liebsman‘s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. We’ll also play The Sequel Game – where two men must make up sequels to classic films on the spot to appease The Mighty Tu’Challa.

Earlier this week, we saw 6 seconds of director James Mangold‘s The Wolverine. Today, Twentieth Century Fox has unveiled the first official trailers (domestic and international) for the upcoming film.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, The Wolverine finds Logan (Hugh Jackman) traveling to Japan to start a new life after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand (the third X-Men film). In Japan, he encounters the enigmatic Silver Samurai, played by Will Yun Lee, as well as Viper (Svetlana Khodchenkova) and Yukio (Rila Fukushima).

Here below, check out both the International and Domestic trailers, which feature a few different bits of dialogue amidst the action.

Vine gives us a whole new way of viewing the world of social media. You can tell an entire story with just one 6-second (or less) video. Studios have caught on to the craze and are now releasing portions of their movie in six seconds and redefining the way we see teasers. The latest marketing bit using Vine comes from Fox who will be releasing The Wolverine on July 26, 2013.

Anyone who watches the teaser for The Wolverine can assume that a lot will happen in this trailer. The full trailer lands later this week, which will give us a better glimpse at the plot of the film.

The return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is well on the way, and as marketing for The Wolverine picks up a new motion poster has surfaced.

Although a motion poster, it’s still quite simple: Wolverine, atop a building in what appears to be deep thought, blades in hand (in more way than one), while rain pours down around him.

We’ll also play The Sequel Game, or as it’s also known, The Sequel Game: First Blood Part II. Tim will present David and I with three films that, in no way, shape, or form NEED a sequel – and we will be forced to create theoretical sequels to appease the Gods. In celebration of Halloween, this week’s edition will challenge us to come up with horror sequels to non-horror films. Prepare for absurdity!
