Disney In Depth: Disneynature’s ‘Monkey Kingdom’ Review
Monkey Kingdom
Directors: Mark Linfield and Alastair Fothergill
Narrator: Tina Fey
Disneynature
Rated G | 82 Minutes
Release Date: April 17, 2015
Lions and sharks and bears, oh my! Disneynature’s collection of films have chronicled the stories of these creatures — no central focus on tigers just yet, I’m afraid — but until now, this documentary label had yet to venture into a society dominated by toque macaque monkeys.
Practically every April brings a new Disneynature film to theaters, and Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom embodies the series’ awe, compassion and discovery in a neatly wrapped (just under an) hour-and-a-half experience. It’s entertaining, yes, and as documentaries aim to inform, you will indeed walk away learning many, many fascinating facts that you can bring up at your next party.

Highlights From The 2015 Golden Globe Awards
|
|
The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony aired live on Sunday night, January 11, 2015, from Beverly Hills, CA, where we saw Richard Linklater’s Boyhood dominate the film drama category and Michael Keaton and his latest film Birdman top the comedy film area, while in TV, Showtime’s The Affair, FX’s Fargo, and Amazon’s Transparent took home multiple Globes. (Check out the full list of 2015 Golden Globe winners here.)
The ceremony, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for their third and final time, had a lot of great moments – some funny, some poignant, some noteworthy. There was the hilarious opening by the hosts, another classic Benedict Cumberbatch photobomb, a lot of George Clooney love, and much more, including several references to the recent threats on the entertainment community from North Korea and the murders at the Charlie Hebdo offices in France.
See below for some highlights from the 2015 Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Golden Globes 2015: Watch Tina Fey & Amy Poehler’s Monologue
Tonight marked Tina Fey and Amy Poehler‘s return to NBC for their third and final time hosting the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Leading up to the event, the former SNL cast mates said they wouldn’t be holding back on the jokes this year and that everyone was a potential target.
As expected Bill Cosby, who’s been in the news a lot lately for allegations of rape, was on the chopping block as both comediennes did spot-on impressions of the comedian and JELL-O pudding pusher. Other celebrities highlighted in the opening were actor George Clooney and his activist lawyer wife Amal Alamuddin Clooney, as well as Wes Anderson, Emma Stone, Matthew McConaughey, and as usual, fellow SNL alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Watch Fey and Poehler’s entire opening monologue from the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards here below.
