Glass starring Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, and Bruce Willis

M. Night Shyamalan is not one for traditional storytelling. So when he inserted that twist in Split, it showed that the world of Unbreakable was much bigger than we originally thought. That’s because it was revealed that Split took place in the same universe as Unbreakable, and the story would continue on with Glass.

Now Universal has released the newest trailer for Glass starring Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, and Bruce Willis in a film that could change the superhero genre as we know it. Check it out below.

Patton Oswalt

Stand-up comedian, actor, and author Patton Oswalt has a new book out titled Silver Screen Fiend: Learning About Life from an Addiction to Film. Such an addiction obviously means that he’s often pondering the many movies he’s seen, and this sometimes leads to some interesting ideas.

One example of this involves Unbreakable, the 2002 film from director M. Night Shyamalan. The movie was Shyamalan’s next film after his breakout megahit The Sixth Sense, and stars Bruce Willis as a man who discovers that he cannot be harmed and Samuel L. Jackson as a man who can be harmed very easily.

In his movie pondering, Oswalt realized that the story of Unbreakable should have continued not only with a sequel, but two sequels to create a trilogy. He stopped by to chat with Screen Junkies about this idea, and they even made their own trailer for how this trilogy might look. You can see Oswalt describe his vision for the trilogy in the video below.
