| ‘Ma’ Trailer: Octavia Spencer Just Wants To Have A Friend
We’ve seen Octavia Spencer in some pretty inspiring and Oscar-winning roles. But never quite something like Ma, which Universal Pictures has released an official trailer for. In the film Spencer plays as a quiet loner who helps some teenagers buy booze and sees the opportunity to make some new friends by taking them to her basement. Though they suspect something, it turns out she isn’t all that bad. That is until she becomes more aggressive as her popularity starts to rise. And when one of the kids breaks the ground rules of never going upstairs, things in this once small quiet town become really scary. Check out the trailer for Ma below.

Happy Death Day 2U
Director: Christopher Landon
Writers: Christopher Landon
Cast: Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Phi Vu, Suraj Sharma, Ruby Modine
Studio: Universal Pictures
Rated PG-13 | 100 Minutes
Release Date: February 13, 2019 Christopher Landon‘s first Happy Death Day was a darkly fun and hilarious slasher spin on the Groundhog Day concept. In it, a vain and selfish Tree (Jessica Rothe) found herself reliving her murder on her birthday over and over again. Though there wasn’t much more to it than that, it was still smart enough to borrow, blend, and subvert elements from other slasher and time loop films to make for a very entertaining guilty pleasure watch. Along with Rothe’s energetic performance, audiences stayed glued to the screen to watch how she would get out of her time loop and figure out who her killer was. Now everyone is back for Happy Death Day 2U. While the sequel’s humor may not work quite as well as it did in the first, and it does stray away from the slasher mystery bit, it does take Tree’s character arc in a new direction by taking a surprisingly emotional turn and using a more geeked out concept by adding in some Back to the Future Part II to keep the deja vu concept going.

| ‘The Secret Life Of Pets 2’ Trailer: A Dog Learns What It Means To Be A Cat
Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have been releasing a series of trailers for the upcoming The Secret Life Of Pets 2. While they are called trailers, they feel a lot more like vignettes, with each of them following a different pet from the previous film. It even introduced a new one. Of course, all of them put a slightly humorous slant on what otherwise would have been another boring day for these pets when their owners are gone. That is no different with this latest video, which focuses on Gidget (Jenny Slate), a small Pomeranian dog who has a sudden identity crisis when she wears a pair of cat ears and puts a long sock on her tail. And when Chloe (Lake Bell) starts to teach the fluff ball that there is more to being a cat then she thinks, the once sparky canine starts believe that she herself is a cat. Check out the latest video here below.

| ‘Us’ Super Bowl Spot: Jordan Peele’s Latest Terror Has Terrifying Coincidences
There’s no doubt that Jordan Peele‘s Us, his follow up to Get Out, is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. And judging by the reactions and eagerness to see it as soon as possible, the Us makes its debut at SXSW later this year, we can expect to see the same visceral terror with a tinge of Twilight Zone. Even the film itself was inspired by that show. Now with the film’s theatrical release just a little over a month away from release, we are getting a new look at it with a brand new TV spot. Initially set up to be unveiled during the Super Bowl, Peele posted the spot on a SubReddit, much to the delight of everyone. Check it out here below.

| ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ Super Bowl Spot: This Muscle-Toned Team-Up Packs A Furious Punch
Universal Pictures may have released the first trailer for Fast and Furious Present: Hobbs And Shaw this past weekend, but the studio is still revving up the spinoff’s marketing campaign with a Super Bowl spot. The studio has had a presentation showing off some of their upcoming films during the big game, so it should come as no surprise that we are seeing a spot for the spinoff. I’d just never expected that we’d see one so soon. Check it out here below.
