Time to start getting those hopes up people.
Just days after producer Brian Grazer revealed that, given a recent budget cut, he, Ron Howard, and Akiva Goldsman’s long-discussed take on the Stephen King series The Dark Tower was getting a second chance at life, the super-producer revealed that the TV side of things may have already found a home.
According to an interview with MTV, Grazer revealed that they would be working on the TV project over at HBO, with the film side of things “yet to be determined.”
Personally, while I’m not too keen on this creative team taking on this project, the idea of the series being given over to HBO is massively interesting. It is the project’s perfect home, and the exact place that it should have been in the first place. Things may still not fall through, but this definitely bodes well for the franchise, which for all intents and purposes is perfect for television.
