Seth Rogen has been busy promoting some of his new projects, and even getting into character and doing a little acting to do so.
First we saw him in a parody trailer for his new AMC TV series Preacher, and now comes a new promo for Sausage Party in which he actually does his best Walt Disney impersonation.
Click on over to the other side to check it out.
Now, to be clear, Sausage Party is most definitely not a Walt Disney production, as most of you are already aware of if you saw the red band trailer. But you never know—I don’t want to be partially responsible for that little kid running around dropping adorable f-bombs like the “fummy tawking hot dog.”
But when you think animated movies, Disney is one of the first things to come to mind, so it’s amusing to see Rogen playing the larger than life figure. Who knows, maybe it’ll land him the lead in Saving Mr. Banks 2: Poppins’ Boogaloo.
Here’s a description of the movie:
Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. The film features the vocal talents of a who’s who of today’s comedy stars – Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.
The movie is directed by Greg Tiernan, who has previously directed a collection of Thomas the Tank Engine movies, TV episodes, and shorts…which is pretty amazing considering what this movie is, and Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Monsters vs Aliens, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted), who also is an actor (he was the Gingerbread Man in the Shrek movies) and voices the character Twinks in this movie, who I believe can be seen at the end of the above mentioned red band trailer.
Also included below as an added bonus is one of Walt Disney’s old videos for comparison/your viewing pleasure.
Sausage Party is set to be released in theaters on August 12th.
