When it comes to the teaser trailers for Stranger Things, you can expect to see… nothing. But that is purely by design. The teaser trailers do reveal something, though: episode titles. And these titles will leave us speculating on what we will see and how they serve as a device to move the show forward. Now, Netflix is giving us our first look at those titles for Season 3, a lot of which has to do with what we have seen and heard in the past, which includes more references to the ’80s. Check out the titles and the trailer here below.
Here are the list of titles first:
- “Suzie, Do You Copy?”
- “The Mall Rats”
- “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard”
- “The Sauna Test”
- “The Source”
- “The Birthday”
- “The Bite”
- “The Battle of Starcourt”
Of course, many of us will already theorize what these episodes could mean for Eleven and the gang. Some may be more straightforward than others. Again, The Starcourt Mall could serve as a point of reference for some of the new settings. While others like The Birthday could mean something more celebratory. However, other episodes could have dual meanings like The Source and The Bite.
We won’t know anything about these episodes until Season 3 premieres some time in 2019 — Netflix has not yet confirmed the exact launch date.
Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things season 3 stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, and Sadie Sink. Newcomers include Jake Busey and Cary Elwes.
