| ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Now One Film, Second Half Becomes ‘Untitled Avengers’ Sequel
Since it was first announced in October 2014, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War was intended to be the company’s biggest release to date. Intentions, much like the best of plans, tend to change over time. Nearly two years have passed and what was initially slated to be a two-part feature that would close out Marvel’s Phase Three line-up with each installment released a year apart in May of 2018 and 2019, it appears that Infinity War will no longer be split in half, as confirmed recently by Disney. On Saturday at a panel for the MST3K revival at San Diego Comic-Con, the announcement was made that the new show will be coming exclusively to Netflix as part of a $5 billion investment from the film and television streaming giant in original programming, which also includes their Marvel Studios series and the recent Stranger Things.
