The Walking Dead by Tony Moore

Digital comic book retailer Comixology is offering a FREE digital copy of The Walking Dead #19, which features the debut of Michonne, one of the series’ most popular characters.

The sword-wielding badass from The Walking Dead was revealed in the last minutes of the television show’s season two finale last Sunday, and while many comic book readers were celebrating, others were left scratching their heads at the site of a woman in a tattered hooded jacket, holding a sword and leading two zombies on chains. Granted, the debut of the character was an awesome sight, but fans who haven’t read the comics have no idea of the significance of the character. Enter Comixology. Comixology and Skybound are not run by stupid people. Offering the debut of the character for free is a perfect way to bring in fans of the show to check what fans of the comic have known for years. Michonne is totally awesome.

Watch Now: Batman Helps Brazilians Prevent Crime

Batman of BrazilBatman Incorporated? Not entirely, but a former police officer in Brazil is donning the cape, cowl and mantle of Batman in way that he hopes will prevent crime.

Dressed as Batman, Andre Luiz Pinheiro is doing his part to set an example to the youth of Brazil who oftentimes don’t feel trustworthy of the police of the area due to speculation of cooperation with organized crime groups. The image of Batman is being used as a vision of the ultimate good guy working with the police to let children know that trusting the police isn’t an entirely bad idea. Considering the trend towards youth oriented crime in these Brazilians areas, it doesn’t seem like such a bad idea to try to get the youth to start respecting and understanding the law. Enter Batman.

Green Arrow

On Monday, Warner Bros. released the first image of Stephen Amell as Green Arrow from The CW’s Arrow pilot.

With each bit of news, I get even more excited about this show. In the first photo released from CW’s Arrow, we see our hero Green Arrow posed with hood up, head down, and bow locked by his side. While we can’t really get too many details from this image, we can speculate as much as we want to as to what this means for the show and how it will portray the main character. Now, you may not want to do that, but these kind of things make me the big bucks, so here we go!

You can see the first image from Arrow below.

Well, well, well! Look whose birthday it is this Saturday! That’s right, it’s not Henchman21’s birthday, it’s MY birthday! Or if you speak dubstep, that’s, “errr i-i-i-i whooom bip bip bip bip wum wum wum beep beep beep whoomp!” There are a lot of great things about my birthday, first thing that comes to mind is that the world celebrates the day that their hero was born unto the Earth. The second being that I celebrate really simply with things like comics! Yes, that’s right, comics! Comics are rad, right? Certainly on par with the radness of professional wrestling, that’s for sure. And really, is there anything radder than comics or professional wrestling? Let me go ahead and answer that for you. No, there’s not. So, don’t get those facts twisted inside your head. Right! So, comics are really awesome and there are awesome comics coming out TODAY, so why don’t you read this, what we like to call The GoD List, and pick up all of these fine comics from your local comic shop OR on a digital format like Comixology? There’s not a single reason for you not to, so go ahead and do it! For me? Thanks! Also, thanks in advance for getting me things.
