Star Wars

There is much secrecy surrounding the plot details of Star Wars: Episode VII, director JJ Abrams’ highly anticipated new installment in the Star Wars franchise. We know that the story will be set 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jedi and that original trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, and Peter Mayhew will reprise their roles, but those are all the good guys. What about the villains?

Latino Review has the scoop about who the villains will be — yes, plural! Also, the site has a lot of spoilery scoops on other aspects of the film.

The DC Cinematic Universe is starting to grow. With Man of Steel planting the seeds, we will see how much their cinematic world will grow with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. We got a slight hint at the dark tones the film will have through SDCC posters and teaser reveals – the latter of which WB will likely never show again. And we still haven’t seen Jason Momoa as Aquaman, or Ray Fisher as Cybrog. Or, more importantly, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

If you’ve seen some of the leaked set photos, then you know the level of destruction that will be seen in the film is off the scale. But how did it get to that point? Well, according to a new rumor, it might have something to do with Lex Luthor.

When Guardians of the Galaxy was announced at Comic-Con a few years back, many had considered the film to be a huge gamble. But the marketing team has done an excellent job getting Marvel fans excited over a property that was relatively unknown. Even before the film was released, Marvel had the balls to announce that there would be a sequel. But everything paid off in the end, with Guardians of the Galaxy being one of the biggest hits of August, in fact it broke box office records.

Now Marvel is ready to roll the dice once more with an even more unfamiliar property called The Inhumans. There have been plenty of teases that have led up to this. But this is the first time we are hearing of reports that a script has been turned in. Hit the jump to learn more.

Possible ‘True Detective’ Season 2 Casting and Story Details Revealed

BAADASSSSS!   |

True Detective

Since I don’t have HBO I wasn’t able to catch their latest hit original series True Detective during its eight-episode first season run that began last January. But once it hit home video I was finally able to pick up the box set and binge watch every single hour, and by the end I was convinced I had just seen the best season of a television crime series since the first episode of the CBS classic Wiseguy in 1987. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson both turned in some of the finest performances of their respective careers, aided immeasurably by the writing of creator Nic Pizzolatto and Cary Joji Fukunaga‘s atmospheric direction.

Now some possible casting and story details have surfaced, and can be read below if you’re all caught up and anxious for info on the sophomore season.

Rumor: New Solo Batman Movie ‘The Batman’ Getting 2019 Release?
space

Batman vs Superman

With Zack Snyder currently filming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, how Warner Brothers moves forward with their DC Cinematic Universe after that is unclear. The rumored schedule, which runs until 2018, includes titles based on characters like Wonder Woman, Flash/Green Lantern, Shazam, and Sand Man, but the one thing that schedule didn’t have was a solo Batman film. Something that comes off as a bit of a shock considering that Ben Affleck signed a multi-pic deal.

While we will definitely see him in Dawn of Justice and Justice League, a new rumor says that we could see a solo Batman film as early as 2019. There’s even a working title: The Batman. Now all of this is, of course, just a rumor. Hit the jump for more info.
