| HBO Asia Horror Anthology ‘Folklore’ Coming To Streaming Next Month
Back in September I saw a trailer for a new horror anthology titled Folklore which was coming to HBO Asia. The first season consists of six episodes set in six different Asian countries—Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Korea—which tell six different stories, each inspired by the folklore of the country it’s set in. Sadly, it appeared that the show wouldn’t be available to watch here in the States when it premiered in October. But never fear! HBO has recognized that there are people around the world who are interested in watching Folklore, and it has been revealed that the series will be coming to HBO GO, HBO NOW, HBO On Demand, and HBO’s partners’ streaming platforms next month. You can find more info on the six episodes and watch a trailer for the anthology below.

“But what 13-year-old boy isn’t obsessed with arcade games?” As the father of a 14-year-old son who regularly pounds his desk in anger after being sniped in Fortnite, that is a good question. It’s also the question posed by Jimmy Kelly and Michael Tuite, the co-writers of Polybius, a short horror film directed by Kelly and based on a real urban legend about the titular 1981 arcade cabinet game that drove people mad in the Portland, Oregon area. Who better to investigate and get to the bottom of this than horror legend Tom Atkins! Tom “Thrill Me” Atkins made a name for himself in early to mid ’80s starring in cult horror classics like John Carpenter’s The Fog (1980) and Escape From New York (1981), Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), and my personal favorite Atkins film, 1986’s Night of the Creeps. Always a man who commands attention and respect, Atkins plays Sheriff Atkins in the film, and is trying to solve the mystery of young boy’s apparent suicide after playing the game. The synth score and Stranger Things vibe puts you right into an ’80s arcade. Check out the trailer below.

| Official Trailer For ‘Happy!’ Season 2 Released
SYFY has released an official trailer for Happy! season two, which once again stars Christopher Meloni as an ex-cop named Nick Sax and Patton Oswalt as an imaginary flying blue unicorn named Happy. This is easily the batshit craziest show on TV right now, and judging by this new trailer it looks like they’ve cranked that insanity up to 11 for the second season. Which is fitting considering the series comes from Crank and Crank: High Voltage writer and director Brian Taylor. He co-created the series, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, with Morrison. You can find more info on Happy! and check out the official season two trailer below.

| New Trailer/TV Spot For DC’s ‘Shazam!’ Released
Warner Bros. Pictures released a short new trailer for the latest DC Films title Shazam! last night. Or maybe it’s a long TV spot. They don’t really specify what exactly it is. The new preview is longer than the usual 15 to 30-second TV spot at just under a minute in length, but shorter than most trailers. But this is Shazam! we’re talking about. The teaser trailer we saw back in July was longer than most official trailers at nearly three minutes. So this one is doing its own thing at this point, and we’re just along for the ride. You can find the video below along with a synopsis.
