This past weekend, Ash vs Evil Dead took over New York Comic-Con, holding their panel at the Hammerstein Ballroom, where series stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere and conducted a panel discussion and Q&A, before greeting fans at the Javits Convention Center for autographs and photos. I had the chance to join over members of the press to speak with the cast members of the series about their experiences on the upcoming season. Dana DeLorenzo stars as Kelly Maxwell, my choice for most badass woman on TV. She can stand toe to toe with Ash Williams and match him insult for insult and one liner for one liner; and she loves nothing more than shooting deadites. We sat down with the Youngstown, Ohio native to talk about the upcoming season. When she sat down at the table, she warned us about her penchant for rambling on, slamming the table and talking loud, all things we were perfectly fine with her doing.

By BAADASSSSS!

So far, 2017 has been yet another interesting year at the movies – plenty of record-smashing blockbusters, even more embarrassing flops and failed franchise starters, and some unique indies that always tend to fly under the radar. We still have a few more months to go and lots more to watch, both on the big screen, the small screen, and the even smaller screens of our desktops and laptops. The ride has yet to begin, I fear. Submitted for your approval, here are the top 10 best films I’ve seen to date this year. I still have many more to catch up, so good thing I have several streaming options that are really worth the money.

| Video: ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Friday The 13th Trailer Teaser
Netflix has released a Friday the 13th teaser for the highly anticipated upcoming second season of Stranger Things. The teaser is for the final season two trailer, which is set to be released tomorrow. Now in most cases I think trailers for trailers are ridiculous and wouldn’t waste your time with them. But this particular trailer tease is fittingly made in the same style as a trailer for one of the old Friday the 13th movies, and that’s pretty darn awesome. Click on over to the other side to check it out.

Release date: October 3, 2017 Hard to believe there was a time before Johnny Depp was Captain Jack Sparrow. Depp was a superstar for nearly two decades and then took the role playing the swaggering pirate in a blockbuster based on a Disney theme park attraction. That role earned Depp his first of three Oscar nominations and changed his career path. Here we are 14 years later, and Depp is still chugging along on the high seas in his fifth Pirates film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This time, Jack is searching for the trident of Poseidon, while an old enemy, Captain Salazar (Oscar winner Javier Bardem) hunts him down. While these films have had their ups and downs over the years, no one can deny Depp’s ability to entertain, and part 5 is maybe the best Pirates film since the original. It is out now on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo pack and loaded with special features.

| Movies Anywhere Launches; Brings Together Your Digital Movie Collection
An app and website called Movies Anywhere has officially launched, which allows users to bring together their digital movie collections. So far, five Hollywood giants (Walt Disney Studios, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment) and four digital retailers (Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu) are taking part. And the best part? It’s free to use. Those who are among the dwindling number of people who still prefer physical media, myself included, won’t have much use for such a service (but even we can use those digital copy codes that come with physical copies to build a little back-up collection). But for the rest of you, continue below for full details including how you can score five free digital movies.
