OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY header

If it is December, chances are you will probably be invited to a Christmas Party to celebrate Yule Tides and Season’s Greetings. Of course, at these parties there’s bound to be some egg nog with a little alcoholic kick to it, which leads to some sort of drunken shenanigans, dumping one’s feelings over the office crush, and a nice hangover the next morning.

Now, a new comedy called Office Christmas Party will explore all those regrettable themes. The film stars Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, T.J. Miller, Kate McKinnon, Courtney B. Vance, and Olivia Munn, and since this is a movie, things get seriously out of hand.

Check out the new trailer below.

It’s being reported that Katheryn Winnick, star of The History Channel’s hit drama series Vikings, is the latest to sign on for the movie. Lea Seydoux

Ever since Channing Tatum nearly walked away from Gambit, Lea Seydoux (Spectre, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) was among one of the frontrunners for the female lead. Tatum would eventually stay on to play the titular character after working out a new deal, but actresses would join Seydoux for the opportunity to star opposite the 21 Jump Street actor. Among those female lead shortlist names were Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, The Girl on the Train) and Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, Neon Demon). Chemistry tests were held last week to see who would be best suited for the role of Belladonna Boudreaux aka Bella, but with Ferguson now in talks for The Girl on the Train, it would come down to either Seydoux or Lee.

Now there is confirmation that Seydoux will star in her third big budget blockbuster, by entering Fox’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. More on this story below.

Gambit Rebecca Ferguson

After nearly departing from the title role, Channing Tatum is officially signed on for Gambit. During Tatum’s negotiations, Lea Seydoux (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Spectre) was in talks to play the female lead, though who the character was and her connection to Gambit, was a bit unclear. But with everything squared away, and a start date looming, the testing phase for other characters can begin, and it looks like director Rupert Wyatt has narrowed down his choice for the female lead to three actresses.

A new report says that Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson tops the shortlist.

More on this story and who else is on the list below.

“Oh, what a day! What a lovely day!”

Mad Max: Fury Road is nothing short of a goddamn masterpiece. This is an epic of grease, gunpowder, and gasoline – a feminist, post-apocalyptic Western on wheels, all shiny and chrome. This is action cinema in its purest, most exhilarating form.

Co-written and directed by George Miller, Fury Road finds The Road Warrior himself, Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), pursued by Warboys, a bloodthirsty clan of marauders under the command of the tyrannical Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). The leather-clad maniacs capture Max and haul him off to the Citadel, a massive stronghold where the warlord rules over the poor, sickly wretches of the wasteland.

Within the Citadel, Max becomes a blood bag for Nux (Nicholas Hoult), a wounded Warboy. Max hangs upside down, his blood draining into Nux, who wants nothing more than to die a glorious soldier’s death and be ushered into shiny, chrome-colored Valhalla.
