“And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth’s mightiest heroes were united against a common threat! On that day The Avengers were born “” to fight foes no single hero could withstand!”
Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron is the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the fifth entry in Marvel’s second phase of films, Ultron follows the events of Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Our heroes have changed since the first time they assembled; S.H.I.E.L.D. is no more, Hydra has possession of Loki’s scepter, and the universe hangs in the balance as Thanos hunts down the Infinity Stones.
Age of Ultron begins with a raid on a Hydra outpost. After recovering some Chitauri technology from the base, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) jumpstarts ULTRON, a global defense program that will act as “a suit of armor around the world.” Things go terribly wrong, of course, and The Avengers – Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – must reassemble to save the planet from the villainous Ultron (James Spader).

Jeremy Renner Sings About Hawkeye’s Powers On ‘The Tonight Show’ (Video)
Sometimes the underrated characters turn out to be the ones we remember the most. Maybe Jeremy Renner hasn’t had much to do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far as the wisecracking ace archer Hawkeye, but early reviews of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron have listed Renner’s performance and the greater attention paid to his character as one of the film’s better qualities.
Just to prove how cool he and the Hawk both really are, Renner paid a recent visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to sing a lovely song about the struggles he faces being the most unappreciated Avenger of them all, set to the tune of Ed Sheeran‘s “Thinking Out Loud.”

So, Are You Worthy of Wielding Thor’s Hammer? (Video)
|
|
A group of enthusiastic pranksters going by the name of Trollstation out of the UK decided to find out just who thinks they are worthy of the power of the Mighty Thor. Just in time for this week’s U.S. release of Avengers: Age of Ultron (the film has been out a week in the UK), the prank basically entailed someone using some heavy duty adhesive to glue a replica of Mjolnir, the famed weapon of Thor, to some concrete in a public square. Passersby then tried to determine their worthiness by attempting to lift the “magic” hammer.
The concept is based on the famous inscription from the Marvel comics stating “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” Of course the hammer now mentions that if he OR she be worthy, and in the video, plenty of women gave the challenge a try themselves.
From the looks of it, we puny mortals should probably just leave the heavy lifting to the Asgardians. That and apparently wearing a jacket seems to have an effect on our worthiness. Check out the video here below.
