Marvel Comics is bringing the Ultimate Universe to an end with Cataclysm, a 6-issue miniseries bringing Galactus to Earth and finding allowing him to feast on the planet like a tasty appetizer! The devourer of worlds has tried to have Earth for a snack for many years and there’s something a little exciting at the thought of seeing him actually get to quell his hunger! The miniseries comes from writers Joshua Hale Fialkov and Mico Suayan. It’s hard to believe that Brian Michael Bendis isn’t on this one, too! Each and every week, I, “Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Henchman21, and “Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Punk!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of September 25, 2013. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. I have decided to mix it up a little this week, and as such, instead of my usual three or so books I have nine new issues to check out. There’s a ton great issues out this week, and with all of the books listed, there’s something for everyone. | Vin Diesel Hints At A Possible Major Role In ‘The Avengers 2’
Two weeks ago news broke that Vin Diesel of Pitch Black and the Fast and the Furious franchises was meeting with Marvel Studios about a possible mystery role in one of their forthcoming movies. How did we find that out? Diesel revealed it on his Facebook page! So then began speculation about what role that could be, and how exactly would the established action star fit into a cinematic universe that has launched more than a few acting careers but whose parent studio has become infamous for its draconian business practices. | Watch This: Extended Trailer For Marvel’s ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Now Online!
“Welcome to Level 7.” In the past 48 hours we’ve shown you a six-second sneak peek, a 30-second trailer, and now we’ve got a full-length “extended” trailer for Joss Whedon‘s upcoming ABC television series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson who is apparently alive after being mortally wounded by Loki in Whedon’s The Avengers. Coulson leads a top-secret team that includes Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. | Does Marvel Studios Want Saoirse Ronan To Play Scarlet Witch In ‘The Avengers 2’?
The Avengers 2 writer-director Joss Whedon revealed a few weeks ago that the classic Marvel characters Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch – the rights to whom are shared by both Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox with conditions – would figure heavily in the highly anticipated sequel. One of many lingering questions now is: Who will be playing those particular roles? The script is nearing completion, but no actors have met with Whedon or the producers as yet to discuss joining the cast. Of course now that hardly means that certain actors cannot be at least thought of for these integral roles, and if the rumor going around proves to be accurate, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan is at the top of Marvel’s list to play the Scarlet Witch.
