Check Out This First Cast Photo From ‘Powers’
Back at NYCC in October, we got to see the first trailer for Powers, Playstation Network’s first original scripted television program. The show, which will premiere this winter, is based on the creator-owned comic book series of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.

NYCC 2014: First Trailer For Playstation TV’s ‘Powers’
TV rules at this year’s New York Comic-Con with a number of trailers and premieres of various shows, one of which that was shown off was the first trailer for Playstation TV’s first original series, Powers. Watch it here below.
Powers, based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, stars Sharlto Copley (The A-Team, District 9) as Detective Christian Walker, a former superhero turned homicide detective. He is partnered with Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward, recently of The Following), and they team up to investigate crimes that are related to people with powers (thus the title).

Donald Glover Will Finally Play Spider-Man (In Animated Form Of Course)

Four years ago when Sony Pictures announced that its Spider-Man movie franchise would be rebooted following the exit of director Sam Raimi from the stalled development of a fourth feature starring Marvel Comics’ iconic wall-crawling superhero, actor, writer, and the rap star known as Childish Gambino, Donald Glover, threw his hat into the casting ring. The idea of the Community star assuming the role vacated by Tobey Maguire started out as the suggestion of a fan and eventually grew into a full-blown social media campaign with the hashtag “#donald4spiderman.” As far as we know, Glover didn’t even get an audition, and the role ultimately went to Andrew Garfield.
But now it looks as if Glover, who departed Community in the middle of its fifth season but has hinted at possibly returning to the show when it launches on Yahoo! later this year or next, will finally get his chance to play Spider-Man in an upcoming episode of the Disney XD animated series Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors.
