Air Date: Tuesday, October 20th, 2015, 8:00pm Last week’s The Flash ended with a scream… actually that was me, when I saw the glimpse S.T.A.R. Labs in Earth-2, all shiny and bustling, with its founder Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), still looking like an evil genius. Squeeee!!! As for the rest of the episode, the meta of the day was the Sand Demon, dropped into their world by Zoom on a speedster-killing mission. It’s hard for even The Flash to put him down. Garrick tries to explain to an angry Barry (Grant Gustin) who throws him into a containment cell. Stein (Victor Garber) gives everyone an Earth-1/Earth-2 tutorial, but then almost dies. Cisco’s burgeoning power is manifesting more and more. But sh!!! It’s a secret. He even helps them find the kinapped future ex-girlfriend of Barry Allen, Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten). Iris’s (Candice Patton) mother shows back up and wants to see her. What?!? Spoilers below.

Air Date: Tuesday, October 13th, 2015, 8:00pm Last week on The Flash, we got one of the things we’ve been waiting for all season – Barry’s (Grant Gustin) dad freed from jail. Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) made one of those in-case-I-die videos, confessing to Nora Allen’s murder. The coming home party moved me to tears. Too bad his dad took off soon after. I personally, had been waiting a few months for Adam Copeland aka Edge from WWE to be in an episode. He was Atom-Smasher, with crazy strength and cartoon-y growth. Since the singularity, Barry has cut himself off, blaming himself for Eddie and Robbie’s (oh Robbie!) deaths. When it comes down to it, they are all better as a team, and prove it by saving the day once again. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) discovers a new weird power. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), popped in at the end of the episode, proclaiming Barry’s world was in danger and that he too, is The Flash – in another world. Spoilers below.

Air Date: Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, 8:00pm Hooray! My favorite night in television came speeding back yesterday! The Flash returned Tuesday night, and was just how I remembered – fun, fast, and funny. This Arrow spinoff began last year with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) – a skinny, get-sand-kicked-in-your-face kinda guy, a genius lab rat for the CCPD, whose mother was murdered when he was a boy, and his dad wrongly jailed for it. One night, S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator exploded during its unveiling, causing the creation of Metahumans, people infused with extraordinary, and very specific power. Barry was struck by lightning dropping him into a 9-month coma. When he woke up, he was The Flash (sans costume at first). He began to work with Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and his team, Cisco and Caitlin (Carlos Valdes and Danielle Panabaker), to defeat Metahumans (because they were, for the most part, evil). His dad’s friend, Detective West (Jesse L. Martin) had taken him in as a boy, and he grew up with his daughter Iris (Candice Patton), and nurses a secret crush and a secret superhero identity. The season saw the identity of his mother’s murderer, and the selfless death of Iris’s boyfriend, Eddie (Rick Cosnett). Tons of spoilers. The episode was great. I was giddy throughout. So freakin’ good!

Just like the title of the trailer says, The Flash season 2 speeds back in 3 weeks on Tuesday, October 6th at 8pm on The CW. This is not the first promo, nor will it be the last, but I gotta share what comes my way. Here is a tiny little clip revealing a bit of the green screen used to make the effects come alive. Watch the trailer below.

Air Date: Tuesday, May 19th, 2015, 8:00pm The Flash season 1 finale is here! Has this been a fantastic season or what? Little did I know back in October at NYCC, when surprised with a sneak peek of episode 2, that this would end up being one of my favorite shows of the 2014-2015 television season. Who would have thought that the kid from Glee, would end up an awesome superhero? Not this girl! I was happily surprised as Barry Allen and his team (especially my fave, Cisco), continued to wow me every week with this really fun show. It’s gonna be a long summer without them. Do not continue on if you have not watched the episode. Definite spoilers!
