Chris Hemsworth Wants ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ To Be Just As Funny As ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’

Thor: The Dark World Header

Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe saw Thor as a complete fish-out-of-water. The film, which was directed by Kenneth Branagh, can be considered the funniest of the Phase One. However, the sequel to the character’s solo franchise lived up to its title by taking a dark turn in Thor: The Dark World. The film still maintain its more fantastical aspects, but it was a little strange not to see Thor react strangely to human customs. And it seems that film star Chris Hemsworth agrees. Whether or not people would have been tired of that trope or if Marvel purposefully wanted The Dark World to lack humor is not clear. But what is clear is that some of the cast wants to bring the funny back.

In a new interview, the actor talks about how Thor: Ragnarok could use a “little dose” of Guardians of the Galaxy to bring back the humor and comedy that the first film was known for. Check out Hemsworth’s full comments on what he liked to see in the Thor sequel below.

Masters of the Universe Header

Big screen adaptations of cartoon nostalgia aren’t completely out of the norm these days, Transformers being one of the most popular ones having four films already released, with a fifth and spinoffs on the way. Now, another animated series is being turned into a live-action film, although this one is more of a reboot of the original live-action film.

Sony has been developing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, a reboot of Masters of the Universe, the 1987 live-action film, which was based on the popular 1980’s He-Man animated series. After going through a number of writers and directors, the studio has finally settled on a writer. According to a new report, Thor screenwriter Christopher Yost has been tapped to pen the script. More on this story below.

Hulk VS Thor
Blu-ray | DVD
Directed by Takuji Endo and Sam Liu
Screenplay Christopher Yost
Starring Matthew Wolf, Graham McTavish, Kari Wahlgren, Bryce Johnson,
Grey DeLisle

As much as we love our heroes, there is one question that anyone who has ever picked up a comic book encounters: “Who would win in a fight”¦?” In Hulk Vs Thor, we get to see that fantasy scenario played out in an epic battle for Asgard.

Year after year, Asgard is watched over by Odin, the All Father. For one week each winter Odin must rest, leaving Asgard vulnerable to attack. Many may try to claim Asgard, but their attempts are always thwarted by Thor (Matthew Wolf) and the other Asgardian warriors. With hopes of defeating Thor, Loki (Graham McTavish) has kidnapped Dr. Bruce Banner (Bryce Johnson) in order to take control of the Hulk, the only power to ever equal the God of Thunder’s. What follows is a mystical tale of bravery and loyalty, accented with all the fist-pounding, hammer-swinging action you would expect from the two titans of the Marvel universe.
