The Flash
Season 1 Episode 21: “Grodd Lives”
Directed by Dermott Downs
Written by Grainne Godfree, Kai Yu Wu
Starring Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdez, Tom Cavanagh
The CW
Air Date: Tuesday, May 5th, 2015, 8:00pm Last week’s The Flash was exactly what the title said – a trap. Except instead of the team tricking Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) into confessing to Barry’s mom’s murder, Dr. Wells had been playing them the whole time. He had screens set up, with cameras everywhere. The trap involved Cisco (Carlos Valdes) revisiting his alternate reality death experience he’s been dreaming about (Inception Vs. Dreamscape – classic line). There was another Barry (Grant Gustin) flashback to his coma days. A little spark of electricity, then and now, “sparked” Iris’s (Candice Patton) discovery. So having the exact face, build, and mannerisms as the man you lived with your whole life doesn’t give it away, but some static does? Whatever. I’ll forgive you because thank god everyone knows now. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) attempts to propose to Iris, despite Joe (Jesse L. Martin) not giving his blessing, but he is kidnapped by Reverse Flash. So should Joe and Barry send Reverse Flash a thank you card?

iZombie
Season 1 Episode 6: “Virtual Reality Bites”
Directed by Dermott Downs
Written by Gloria Calderon Kellett
Created by Rob Thomas
Starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders
The CW
Air Date: Tuesday, April 21st, 2015, 9:00pm Delicious episode this week! But before that, let’s recap iZombie from last week. Liv (Rose McIver) found the meaning of YOLO inside, after eating the adrenaline junkie brains of an old college friend. Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) did not get in trouble this week — a refreshing change. His boss is a zombie too. They are everywhere! Major (Robert Buckley) went to the skate park to find the Candyman. He found him and got his ass kicked. The reason I said I was confused last week, was because they went from a shot of Major bleeding on the sidewalk, to a bodybag, to Liv riding a bike through the streets exhilarated. I really thought that Major was in that bodybag, which would have been a shocker whether or not he was really dead or a new zombie. Liv meets a potential zombie boyfriend. And boy, is he cute!

Arrow
Season 3 Episode 16: “The Offer”
Directed by Dermott Downs
Written by Beth Schwartz & Brian Ford Sullivan
Starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, John Barrowman, Colton Haynes, Brandon Routh, and Paul Blackthorne
The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, 8:00pm I really hope everyone is caught up on Arrow. You had a month, people! If not….spoiler alert! We last left our favorite vigilante trapped in Nanda Parbat with John Diggle (David Ramsey) in a failed rescue attempt of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). Thea (Willa Holland), so distraught that Malclom drugged her and set her up to kill the original Canary, Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz), she sold him to Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) for her and Oliver’s guaranteed safety. Oliver went to rescue him against everyone’s advice in order to save Thea from future torment and guilt. I have to side with Oliver on this one. If Merlyn dies, eventually Thea’s anger will fade and she will be full of regrets.
