| Hailee Steinfeld Offered Kate Bishop Role In Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ Series
Marvel Studios’ television productions on Disney+ will be far more connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe than any of the other shows that came before it. That’s because most of the A-listers will be headlining these shows. One that is of particular interest is Hawkeye, which will draw from Matt Fraction and David Aja‘s series of the same name. In it, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) forges a partnership with Kate Bishop, and together they fight for justice. And now, Marvel may have found their Bishop. New reports confirm that an offer has been made to Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, True Grit, Bumblebee) to play the role of the young archer who, in the comics, eventually takes up the role of Hawkeye. More on the report below.

| D23 Expo 2019: Marvel’s ‘What If’ Asks What If Peggy Carter Got The ‘Captain America’ Super-Soldier Serum?
Although Disney will be launching Disney+ later this November, there won’t be any original Marvel Studios content readily available. However, come next year, all of their stories will coincide with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, much more so than any of the Marvel Entertainment shows have. But one of the more interesting shows that we can expect to see is What If…?, an interesting new show that will allow audiences to explore the MCU in new ways by looking at various “what if?” scenarios. Though the show is still in the early stages of development we know that it will be Marvel Studios’ first animated series, and at D23 Expo we got our first peek at it. This included a look at one of the scenarios: what if Peggy Carter got the super-soldier serum instead of Captain America, Steve Rogers? More on this below.

| D23 Expo 2019: ‘WandaVision’ Is Half Sitcom and Half Epic Marvel Adventure
Marvel Studios’ Disney+ shows will be an extension of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, more so than what Marvel Television has been in the past. These shows will be directly connected to the MCU. Some might even lead into films, like WandaVision. The series will bring back Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision. Based on what we’ve heard in the past, the series will have a ’50s vibe to it. At the time, it was unclear what that meant. However, while at the D23 Expo Kevin Feige and director Matt Shakman, as well as Olsen and Bettany, took to the stage to give attendees an idea of what to expect and share a few more surprises as well. Like the additions of Kat Dennings (Thor) and Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp), both of whom will be reprising their respective roles as Darcy and Agent Jimmy Woo. More on the report below.
