| New Clip Shows How ‘The Mandalorian’ Is ‘Star Wars’ With Western Vibes |
|
This is a pretty big week for Disney. The entertainment giant launched Disney+, their exclusive streaming service, nationwide yesterday. Of course, we all know how subscribers have access to nearly the entire Disney vault. But there is also some original content to look forward to. Like The Mandalorian. The highly anticipated series made its debut to coincide with the launch. And yet, if you are still not a subscriber or are not convinced to be one, maybe a clip from the series will change your mind. Pulled from the series’ first episode, the clip shows the titular character (Pedro Pascal) meet The Client (Werner Herzog), a man who is in need of his services for some unknown reason. He is also someone who has a very intimidating presence, and is guarded by a small group of Stormtroopers, who are armed to the teeth. Not that scares our anti-hero. Check out the clip below, along with a recently released special look video.

| New 4K ‘Star Wars’ Restoration On Disney+ Messes With Han Solo and Greedo Cantina Scene |
The ongoing debate on who shot first, Han Solo or Greedo, continues. This honestly wouldn’t be a thing if changes hadn’t been made to the original Cantina scene from the first Star Wars film, in which Han was the first to shoot his blaster at Greedo. However, the controversy started when George Lucas altered it in the 1997 Special Edition, making it look like Greedo shot first, followed by a fatal shot from Han. Other alterations would soon follow, but none as crazy as this. Now that Disney+ has launched, subscribers are taking a look at what the studio’s streaming service has to offer, including a 4K restoration with Dolby Vision and Atmos. But the impressive upgrade comes at a huge cost to the infamous “who shot first” scene, at least, because fans have notice that it has been further modified. Now it has been made to look like Han and Greedo shot simultaneously. More on the report below.

|
A few months ago, Geeks of Doom joined fellow journalists on a trip through Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, CA to get a sneak peek at their upcoming and highly anticipated animated feature Frozen 2. We already shared what we learned in terms of what to expect to see in the sequel, along with the new characters and the new worlds that they will meet and see, and what exactly goes into a ballad like “Into the Unknown.” Now we are ready to share another piece with you, which takes a look at the bond of sisterhood that is shared between Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel). The theme of sisterhood played a huge role in the first Frozen, as it took a look at the bonds between the two. Although Anna was able to bring out Elsa from her self-imposed exile, Frozen 2 will explore how strong that bond is as Elsa journeys into the unknown to discover the voice that has been calling out to her. Check out more on how the themes of sisterhood relate to fairy tales, myths, and more below.
