It looks like Greta Gerwig has found her next directorial effort following her Academy Award-nominated Lady Bird. According to new reports, Gerwig is in talks to direct a retelling of the coming of age novel Little Women.

The film looks to also feature a star-studded ensemble cast, with Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Florence Pugh, and her Lady Bird stars Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet all in talks for roles. More on the story below.

The 2017 Golden Globes graced us with its glitter tonight, complete with host Jimmy Fallon who opened with an ode to La La Land. And the ode continued with the Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone musical nabbing 7 wins including Best Actor, Actress, Director, and Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

There’s really no simple way to put this, but La La Land is one of those rare, unforgettable movie going experiences that will be talked about for years to come. But it is also a love letter to the luster and sparkle of Los Angeles, which attracts the hopeless romantics and the dreamers hoping to find love and reach for the stars, all the while learning that the city can also be crushing and unforgiving. Lionsgate and Summit have released the final trailer for Damien Chazelle‘s La La Land. Set in modern-day Los Angeles, the film centers on Mia (Emma Stone), a struggling actress who can’t seem to land a gig, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a down and out pianist with dreams of owning his own jazz club.
