| Use This Marvel Comics Calendar From 1981 For 2015
It’s the start of a new year, time for a new calendar! And as it turns out, calendar years occasionally repeat. For instance, 2015’s days and dates line up exactly with those of 1981. So, cartoonist Mark Anderson took his copy of a Marvel Comics 20th Anniversary calendar from 1981 and lovingly scanned and posted the pages online for all to use! The 1981 calendar features beloved Marvel characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, and others created by artists like Bill Sienkiewicz, Joe Sinnott, John Romita Jr., Frank Miller, George Perez, and more.

| Photographer Gives Heroes and Villains Renaissance Makeover (Images)
Imagine your favorite comic book, movie, and fairy tale heroes and villains if they existed during the Renaissance. What might a painted portrait of them from those times have looked like? Wonder no more. Photographer Sacha Goldberger was part of an event in Paris recently where these iconic characters—including Batman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, The Hulk, Darth Vader, Catwoman, Princess Leia, Joker, Superman, Snow White, and others—were photographed with a decidedly old school look to them, creating a fascinating set of Renaissance painting-style cosplay images. | Marvel Announces Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Inhumans, Civil War, 2-Part Avengers 3, and More
Marvel Studios held an event today at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles to make some stunning announcements revolving around their Phase Three film release slate, the details of which have mostly been the subject of rumor and conjecture until now. Studio president Kevin Feige hosted the event (with some surprise guests) and later held court at a press-only Q&A following the announcements. Movies/release dates that were announced or confirmed include Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther (including who will play the title role), Captain Marvel, Inhumans, and a two-part Avengers titled Avengers: Infinity War. | Robert Downey Jr. Joins ‘Captain America 3’ For Rumored ‘Civil War’ Storyline
When Robert Downey Jr.‘s contract with Marvel was redone, it only entailed him to be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and one other Avengers films. But curiosity started to arise when RDJ began talking Iron Man 4 during his The Judge press tour. While it was confirmed that there was no Iron Man 4 was in the works, many were wondering why the actor was pushing Marvel Studios during a movie press tour that had no Marvel connections. He did mention that Marvel had one huge announcement to make, and this would certainly qualify as a huge announcement. Variety reports that Tony Stark will be joining Captain America 3. While the news of the casting is confirmed, it has started a rumor that Stark’s involvement could mean that the MCU would be headed towards the Civil War storyline instead of Infinity Gauntlet.
