Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.” Looking back, 1985 was a pretty incredible year for movies. The Breakfast Club, The Goonies, The Color Purple, Brazil, Fright Night, Clue, Weird Science, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Rocky IV, the list goes on and on. As great of a year it was for movies, it was an even better year for Michael J. Fox, who starred in two of 1985’s hits: Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future and Rod Daniel‘s Teen Wolf.

| ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2: ‘Kill Bill’ Star Lucy Liu To Direct First Episode
Marvel Television and Netflix have announced that Lucy Liu will be directing the first episode of the upcoming Luke Cage season two. Liu is best known for her acting work, appearing in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, the Kung Fu Panda movies, Elementary, Ally McBeal, Lucky Number Slevin, Charlie’s Angels, Shanghai Noon and much more. On the directing side of things, she was behind the camera for four episodes of Elementary, an episode of Graceland, and a short titled Meena.

| FOX Gives Full-Series Order To X-Men Show ‘The Gifted’ From Matt Nix, Bryan Singer
In addition to the recent FX series Legion, which was recently renewed for a second season, FOX has also been developing another X-Men spinoff TV series from Burn Notice and The Comedians creator Matt Nix. Some of the things we’ve known about it up to this point include that it would be set in the X-Men universe with mutants, that FOX had ordered a pilot episode set to be directed by longtime X-Men movie director Bryan Singer, and that Jamie Chung would star as Blink. A handful of months after ordering the pilot, FOX has now given a full series order to the show along with an official title: The Gifted. They’ve also released a brief teaser, which can be found below along with more details on the story and cast.

| First Look At Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ and ‘The Inhumans’ TV Shows
Marvel has no shortage of properties they can use to adapt for the big or small screen. Considering how popular television has become, it’s no surprise that the studio would want to have a piece of that market. Now we are getting our first look at two of their newest shows. The Inhumans, which was once a film that has now become a TV series, though that doesn’t mean it won’t be getting the film treatment as its pilot will debut in IMAX theaters. Runaways is the second show. While it won’t have anything as grand as The Inhumans, the show has already been picked up by Hulu, so that’s a very good sign.
