This year will see the release of yet another Star Wars movie. But it won’t be for the main saga. It will be for the spinoffs. The first was Rogue One. Now, the latest spinoff will center on Han Solo’s start as a smuggler.

Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as the title character made iconic by Harrison Ford. Directed by Ron Howard, the newest TV spot proves that this spinoff will be a lot of fun. Check it out below.

LucasFilm has dropped the second trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. The film, which is the second Star Wars spinoff to be released, will center on a young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) who goes on a galactic adventure and befriends Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), while also detailing how the nerf-herder came into possession of the iconic Millennium Falcon. There are new details emerging about the content that will be seen on Disney’s yet-to-be-named streaming service. The service will launch in 2019 and provide customers with content from a wide-range of Disney properties from Disney itself to Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

Earlier this year, Disney CEO Bob Iger talked about the number of Star Wars original shows that would be created specifically for the direct-to-consumer platform. While he wasn’t able to talk in great detail about what we would see in these new shows, he did say that the level of talent would be significant. And now we are learning just how significant it will be.

Lucasfilm has just announced that Jon Favreau will be an executive producer on one of the Star Wars series that can be streamed exclusively on Disney’s streaming service. More on the story below.

When Lucasfilm fired directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller from Solo: A Star Wars Story, it came at a very bad time. The Star Wars spin-off was just about to be completed before the directors were given the axe due to creative reasons. Ron Howard would then step in as their replacement. But that even came with its own complications. While the “creative differences” excuse has been thrown around in situations like these, it appears there is some truth to it.
