| ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Rumored To Weave “Planet Hulk” Story Arc Into Film Plot
Things are progressing pretty nicely for Taika Waititi and Thor: Ragnarok. The film recently added Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge aka The Executioner. They’re joined on the cast by Cate Blanchett, who plays Hela the Asgardian Goddess of Death, and Tessa Thompson who will play Valkyrie and Thor’s love interest. Now there are a couple of new rumors surrounding the film. Mark Ruffalo has already said that the film will be a buddy movie that sees the two heroes venturing out on a cosmic journey. How those two get into this precarious situation still isn’t clear. But one rumor is that Thor is searching for a yet to be identified MacGuffin only to get banished to a gladiator-like world where he meets Hulk, who is apparently the reigning champion. Now there is a new rumor about the new characters that will appear in the final film of the Thor trilogy. More on the story below.

| Hulk In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Sequel Is “100% BS” Says Kevin Feige, James Gunn |
|
Though Marvel Studios has built a successful product by creating a cinematic universe that will literally go to galaxies far, far away, it still has a lot of room to grow. Part of that growth was bringing the individual heroes together for The Avengers, and with Avengers: Age of Ultron in the process of shooting, there’s likely to be a lot of speculation on the future of each of the characters. One rumor has the Hulk doing something so bad during Age of Ultron, that the rest of the Avengers come to the decision to send him off to space in order to keep the earth safe, where he would eventually meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel/Planet Hulk film. With Marvel Studios having mapped out their plans until 2028, this sounded like it was going to happen. But Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn have put a stop to these rumors by confirming that Hulk will not be in the sequel, nor will there be a Planet Hulk film. Hit the jump to learn more.

| New Report Smashes ‘Planet Hulk’ Rumors; Joss Whedon Says Solo Hulk Movie Would Be “Very Hard” |
|
Considering Joss Whedon is the chief creative consultant for all things Marvel at Walt Disney Studios, he would have oversight on the structure of not only The Avengers 2, but any other film that precedes it. One of the biggest stories to hit the web in the past few weeks came from El Mayimbe from Latino Review. According to his inside sources, The Avengers 2 would be a segue for Hulk’s solo film, Planet Hulk, and then use the World War Hulk storyline for The Avengers 3. Previous statements made by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige seemed to support that story. It seems to make sense. Both Planet Hulk and World War Hulk were highly successful story arcs that sold really well on comic book stands, and those two stories would fit perfectly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Whedon is coming out and saying that not only a Hulk solo movie would be “very, very hard” to do, but a new report seems to squash all the rumors and speculations of the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe being based on the two aforementioned Hulk story arcs.

| Marvel Studios’ Plans For The Hulk In Phase 2 & Phase 3Back in September, Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige stated that he had a couple of ideas for a Hulk movie. A solo film for Marvel’s green muscle bound hero has had some mild success, but for the most part the hero has been the most difficult to adapt, mostly because Marvel runs the risk of being repetitive in terms of what the Hulk will be doing. Feige told MTV that Hulk was worthy enough of having his own film, but it was just a matter of finding the right story. Now a report from Latino Review says that Marvel has some big plans for the Hulk. WARNING, spoilers do follow, so if you don’t want to know about what Marvel’s plans has in store for the Hulk, then I suggest you hit that back button. But if you want to know, then hit the jump.
