| Disaster To Strike Again In ‘San Andreas’ Sequel
You might have assumed that a massive disaster flick like last year’s San Andreas was one of those rare blockbusters that wouldn’t get a sequel, even if it was a hit. You underestimate Hollywood. The movie was a huge hit, making nearly half a billion dollars worldwide, and it has now been confirmed that a sequel is officially in the works. New Line is developing the sequel, and has hired the writing duo of Neil Widener and Gavin James to work on the screenplay. Carlton Cuse penned the first movie’s screenplay based on a story by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore. Additionally, the cast of the first movie including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, and Paul Giamatti are all expected to return for the sequel. Director Brad Peyton is also expected to return.

| New ‘San Andreas’ Trailer “California Dreamin'”
Warner Brothers has released a new trailer for the earthquake disaster movie San Andreas, which is set to be released in theaters later this week. The new preview is titled “California Dreamin’,” the name of the cover song by Sia used in the trailers. You can check out previous trailers right here if you missed them. The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Paul Giamatti, Archie Panjabi, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, and Art Parkinson. | Final ‘San Andreas’ Trailer Starring Dwayne JohnsonThere are some real world issues that some studios cannot foresee. For instance, the recent devastating Nepal earthquake death toll has exceed 7,000. Unfortunately, Warner Bros. would be releasing San Andreas, whose subject matter is dealing with a fictionalized account of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake centered along the infamous fault line. Dwayne Johnson plays a helicopter rescue pilot who now must save his ex-wife (Carla Gugino) and his daughter (Alexandra Daddario) from the aftermath of the quake and the following aftershocks. We’ve seen a bit of the destructive force in the previous trailer, but this latest one is sure to reinforce the idea that there is no way of hiding from an earthquake. | WonderCon 2015: WB Presents ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘San AndreasThis year’s WonderCon was a relatively quiet one considering it fell on Easter Weekend. Still, studios were generous enough to stop by and present some scenes for their upcoming Summer tentpoles. At the Warner Bros. panel, attendees were treated to some footage from Mad Max: Fury Road. Unfortunately director George Miller, and stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult were unable to attend the event to talk about what is expected to be one of the biggest films of the Summer. However, the footage made up for their absence. The studio also presented Brad Peyton‘s disaster thriller San Andreas, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino, and Alexandra Daddario.
