| Check Out A New Behind The Scenes Video For ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’
Sony Pictures has released a new behind the scenes vignette for Zombieland: Double Tap, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2009 zombie comedy Zombieland. The sequel is once again directed by Reuben Fleischer, with original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick joined by Dave Callaham to pen the screenplay. The video features some of the cast—which includes returning stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin joined by newcomers Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch, and Avan Jogia—talking about the sequel, mixed with some clips and some behind the scenes footage. | Sony Pictures CEO Says “Very Famous People” Want To Remake ‘The Princess Bride’
Legendary television writer Norman Lear recently renewed the overall deal he has with Sony. The deal is set to take Lear into his 100th year on this planet of ours. Variety published a feature about the 97-year-old Lear, but it was just a small part of that feature that set the ol’ internet on fire today. In it there is a quote from Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra, who says that some “very famous people” have approached Sony with hopes of remaking the 1987 fairy tale classic The Princess Bride, which was executive produced by Lear. | ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’: Spidey’s Latest Webspin Can Be Yours To Own On Digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD Soon
It was exciting to see how Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could have expanded given the events of Avengers: Endgame, and the ending for Spider-Man: Far From Home told us that it would have been a significant one. However, given recent events, it seems like the Webhead’s stay is coming to an end. Even those at the top recognize how their relationship wasn’t meant to last. Still, that doesn’t mean we can’t look back and enjoy the temporary arrangement. And now, we can remember how Spidey’s presence in the MCU was everything that Spider-Man fans hoped it would be as Spider-Man: Far From Home makes its way to home video. | Sony Pictures Entertainment Puts ‘Searching 2’ Into Motion
The 2018 Sundance darling and summer indie hit Searching will be getting a sequel. The original film, starring John Cho and Debra Messing, centered on a father who was desperate to find her missing daughter. As the police investigation leads nowhere, the father turns to the only place that may lead to his daughter’s whereabouts, her laptop. This is great news for a film that deserved a lot more attention than it got. And the best thing about it is that writer/director Aneesh Chaganty, co-writer/producer Sev Ohanian, and producer Natalie Qasabian will all be back in their creative capacities to bring a sequel to audiences.
