Last week the final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released. The movie is set to be released in theaters this holiday season on December 16th.

Many interested eyes watched the trailer, of course. This includes, believe it or not, none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens villain Kylo Ren himself. In an attempt to be cool like YouTubers, Ren has been recording himself reacting to the trailers for the first spinoff from the numbered movies.

Following the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s ensemble poster and final trailer comes the release of character posters for Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), Chirrut ÃŽmwe (Donnie Yen), K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), with Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen) and Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker).

Following the release of the final poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney has unveiled the final trailer for the highly anticipated film. The story follows a band of rebels, led by Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) as they attempt to steal the plans to the Death Star. Based on the look of the poster alone, one could say that this will be a very diverse film lead by a strong female character.

As previous trailers have suggested, the first Star Wars spinoff will bring a ground-war perspective to the franchise. Now this latest trailer reinforces that notion. Check it out below.

Part of the excitement for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comes from the fact that the spinoff film will focus on the untold story of a band of rebels who go on a daring mission to steal plans to the Death Star. After an exhaustive search to find the right actor to play Han Solo in the currently untitled standalone film, Phil Lord and Chris Miller finally chose Hail, Caesar! star Alden Ehrenreich.

It was quite an expensive search, at least that’s how the directors have put it, and now their attention has turned to finding an actress to play the female lead.
